I found this laptop sleeve at amazon for those of you who may want to try the DIY project. This link is from Amazon for a neoprene laptop bag and it is 17". There is also a 15" for $11.00 . You would need two for the DIY I posted above. I am going to give it a try.

I still love it, but for everyday use I like something more feminine so, I usually, end up taking my camera and a couple of lenses in one of my normal bags, I know...risky in case it falls on the floor
I think in the near future I'm going to buy one of these: red bag

The ShootSac on sale at Adorama is now sold out..... except maybe you can get the bag and an extra fabric cover as a set.

Patricia, I have a red leather bag that looks so much like that red bag and I use my padding from another camera bag inside it.

The last time a thread was up about computer bags I found one in a surprise spot! At Tuesday Morning I found a fabric that drew my attention - a bold black and white graphic floral. I realized it was a fabric bag inside a plastic bag - each with it's own set of cute handles. I opened the bag and realized that it was a DIAPER bag and that the changing pad folded over and with a few stitches up the sides - would work great as a case for my little netbook!! Price?? $9.95 - American Dollars!! I thought I was so smart....til I found this ShootSac thing. Now....I'm probably breaking even!!

Let me add some more variety to the confusion. I love the look of these bags....

Emera bags

I have a Crumpler bag that I like, but I wish it was a little roomier.

OK just had to find that thread again... 'cause I've just got my NEW RED CAMERA BAG delivered... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am just ECSTATIC... !!!!!!!!! can you tell... if I was a little younger I would make a BACKFLIP...... greening from ear to ear... it SO more than I expected... !!!!!!!!!! I've been playing with it for 3 hours... it's SO GORGEOUS... and I can fit in: my D700 with long lens attached, wide-angle lens, macro lens, speedlight SB900, and there is so much more room left for itsy-bitsy thingis (I got the "medium" size) anybody who were thinking and wasn't sure... BUY IT... anybody who things it's too expensive... SAVE money and BUY IT... worth EVERY PENNY !!!!!!!
I am sucker for traveling in style and I'll bring it to San Antonio !!!

Just wanted to say I have my ShootSac and it works just like they said. Great for carrying lens ready to shoot. Superior quality. I carefully reviewed the make it yourself option and even bought some neoprene (in the form of a computer case which I could have used to create my own version). The quality of the ShootSac is far superior to what I could make and I've been sewing and crafting lo....these many decades! So if you want a bag for using while you are shooting, this is really good. It is not intended for travel - like on a plane, train or bus.

I have been following this thread and I am intrigued by all the cute bags.

I just bought my DH the Lowe Slingshot 200AW at Costco on sale for $57. He really likes it. It is just right for a guy with a camera and two extra lenses.

I would like a really cute/elegant/sophisticaed camera bag that could also hold wallet, cell phone, etc. (red would also be a plus), but my DH-- not so much.

I am going to save this thread to show to Santa in December.

I am getting a camera bag-but it will be a surprise and probably a simple black one-my son works at Best Buy and he is going to surprise me! Yesterday I got a new lense the 55-250 Canon-it is so totally cool!!!! And then later in the evening my son brought home the Canon Rebel starter kit with an uv protector, extra battery and the bag that is big enough to carry my wallet, hat, little kodak camera, the canon and the extra lens! It is black, and it is most wonderful since it was a gift!
