I am using PSE 7 on a pc. I am following the directions to create a mask with the eraser tool, but can't get it to work right. I select the eraser tool, then select the graphic pop corner brush and line it up where I want it to erase. When I click, according to the directions, it is supposed to erase in the shape of the brush. Instead, it stamps the brush in black.
I have followed the directions exactly several times, but don't know how to get this to work. Any advice? |

I've had problems with the eraser because I didn't have the right layer targeted in the palette. Make sure the thing you want to erase is the one highlighted, maybe that will work.

I have triple checked that I have the right layer selected. The only layer I have visible is the one I am working on, and the white background layer.
It seems like the brush isn't erasing, but stamping. I tried selecting the brush first, then the eraser, but changing the order didn't help either. Any other ideas? I really want this to work. |
