Default I'm New...Please Help!!!

Hey ya'll...

I'm new to Digital Scrapbooking and I really really want to learn how to do it. If anybody out there could please help me get started (word for word and step by step) I would appreciate it so much. I have made one photobook from Shutterfly and working on my second one but I'm very interested in DS and printing them through Shutterfly. Also, I don't know very much at all about the Photo Impact Pro 13 softare that I have... Is this ok to use or do I need to get Photoshop Elements?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the wonderful world of digital scrapbooking!

We have several resources to help you as you scrapbook your memories. Our Getting Started Guide is a good place to start.
Getting Started Guides

There's a downloadable pdf guide as well as links to read it online.

We have a number of helpful tutorials in our shop: Tutorials

Our Knowledge Base can be found by clicking "tips" on the top bar of the site. Digital Scrapbooking Tips

We also have a wonderful community of members and Creative Team members who are more than happy to help you with questions in our forum.

You will need a good graphics editing program to successfully digitally scrapbook. We recommend Adobe Photoshop Elements. It's relatively easy to
use, fairly inexpensive (under $100) and there are so many people using PS Elements, that it's easy to get help and find tutorials for it.

Let us know if we can help you in any way as you get started,

Hello, and welcome to DesignerDigitals!

I don't know anything about Photo Impact Pro 13 Software. I would highly recommend that you use Adobe Photoshop Elements. You can download a free 30 day trial from their website, and if you like it, you can find it for under $100.

Our site has a Getting Started link at the top of the screen that will walk you through the very basics. We also have a Tips link there that will answer specific questions you might have. In addition, I have a tutorial in the store called Getting Started: Your First Layout that will provide more detailed instructions with screenshots. It is created using either Adobe Photoshop OR Photoshop Elements.

If you need ANY help, please come back and post your question in a thread. We're here to help!

You are going to LOVE digital scrapbooking!!

ETA: See how helpful we are? Randy and I provided the same information at the same time.

Welcome !
You will love it here... this site has the best of everything... starting with Cassies tutorials... best shopping site for sure, and all designers are very responsive to your questions, as for your question about software I would definitely get at least PSE (better CS4), just because all tutorials that you going to find here was made to use with those programs... don't waste your time with others and then relearning all over again...
Good luck with your start !
Waiting to see your pages !

Hi! Welcome to DD!
I use Photo Impact 8! I have heard its just a little different from 13. Im not sure how different though. Mostly everyone here at DD uses PSE. I know that they sell different tut. kits(PSE) to help you also. The ladies here always talk really high of them. PSE and PhotoImpact (PI) is totally different. But I can download the items I purchase here and it works fine. There are a couple PI helps out there but its really not a step by step instructions. Im sure there are some that are really good out there but I really havent looked really into it. If you want you can PM'd and I will give you some of the links to those PI helps.
Welcome again, Cheryl

HI!! and welcome to Digital Heaven. We have only the best stuff here and amazing support as you can already see!! Definitely go with PS Elements. Sometimes Costco has a coupon for it and you can get it for much less. If you have ANY connection to schools...kids 5K-12 or college or teacher - you can get the academic discount at Academic Superstore. Or try Amazon. They usually have a good price. And be patient. There is a lot to learn. You can make yourself crazy or you can just relax and expect to be befuddled often. You'll get the hang of it and we'll get a new playmate here at DD! Welcome.

Hi, you are going to love it here. Everyone is so very helpful, and the products are the best. Take everyone's advice on the software. I stumbled on Digital Scrapbooking in January and found DD when trying to find affordable elements. I purchased Creative Memories Digital Software and it works very nicely but it does have it's limits. Like you can't use the templates that are offered in the store. I am saving up for either Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop elements.
