Default PSE5 won't let me copy and paste text

After endless frustrations about this I've just discovered the cause of my problem. The humble apostrophe!!!
I couldn't figure out why sometimes I could copy selected text in PSE but most times I couldn't. When I select the text and did Ctrl+C it would just exit the text box. Nothing in the clipboard. I thought it was because I had too many files open, been on too long etc etc, but nothing would fix it.
Just found that as soon as there's an apostrophe in the selected text it refuses to copy.
That happened to anyone else? Why would it do that?!! Crazy!!

Weird. I don't remember 5 doing that, and 7 doesn't. Could it be a problem with that particular font? Will it right-click copy?

Good suggestions Mary Ann. I gave it a test run. No, I can't right-click copy. And it's not the font - it does it with Arial, too. If I replace the curly apostrophe with the straight ' it works. It's just the curly apostrophe...!!
