Default Vibe Alphabet???

I know this is quite a basic question...however....for the life of me....I can not figure out how to get the white along the edges like I see so much in the gallery. Here is a great example of what I'm trying to do from Amy: Maui Page One

I tried putting a stroke on it but it didn't look correct. Can anyone help??

Smile

I just figured it out. Once using it as a brush it worked like a charm. Thanks anyway.

I love this alpha, too. I will watch for your layout in the gallery!

I would have gone for a stroke. You did something different? What did you do?!

I would outline the layer doing a CTRL+Click on the thumbnail, then Select | Modify | Expand, about 5 pixels, and paint with white on a new layer underneath the alpha. I think a stroke just outlines, but the Select | Modify | Expand will fill in the entire shape of the letter + the expanded pixels, so it will fill in areas underneath. I don't know this alpha, but I get slightly different looks using a stroke and the expanded layer depending on the texture and look of what I'm wanting to fill in.

With this alpha, the expanded layer helps fill in all the little cool cuts and grooves in the distressed edge look vs a simple stroke on the outer edge.

I use the select>modify>expand>method too, expanding by 10 pixels.

Thanks! I love that alpha and have used it already but hadn't tried to 'stickerize' it yet
