Cool I've got a chat hangover...

Someone in the past coined the 'chat hangover' title and boy do I have one! I feel this morning as if I had been to a party and indulged in too many cocktails and spent the whole night in a whirl of chat and socialising!—I had to leave the party early unfortunately at midnight (UK), like Cinderella, just after Katie's hilarious store scavenger hunt — I mean girls HOW difficult is it to find a fairy — sheesh!! Mel kept the flag flying for us Brits, (that girl has sooo much energy!) and I hope you all enjoyed the rest of the party, I can only think it got better and better.
I really just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the chats I managed to pop into and it was fabulous chatting to you all. I've been missing from the forums lately and having a bit of a struggle to find scrap time, mojo gone missing, that kind of thing — but boy! did yesterday give me a lift and encouragement to get back into things — what a place, what fun — DD is very special! Thanks for a great day Katie and Randy!!
Oh — one more thing — apologies again to Mightyapoo — blame it on the (virtual) margarita I had at Pattie's chat or the stiff martini at Annas — I missed the a in your username, sorry again! NEXT time we meet up, I really want to know how you got that name though

Fiona

It was such fun. I was in and out most of the day. No virtual margaritas though. Must have missed that sob.

Unfortunately I didn't get to participate as much as I wanted yesterday. I had it all planned: I sent my DD to town shopping and I created a Facebook profile for my DS to keep him occupied. And I was so ready for the chat! And then after a short while I didn't feel very well. I just couldn't keep my eyes open, so I ended up spending most of the day sleeping on the couch... I did have my laptop with the chat window open on the table though, so everytime I managed to sit up for a while I could check out what was going on and sometimes even participate a little.
And of course, today I feel fine...

Sorry you were sick Tove :-(

Glad you are better now.

It was such fun chatting. A real treat to have some UK girls there too!

Seriously, you girls rock totally!

I was thinking about it today... how much the DD community has come to mean to me. Especially as I get to know you better and you get to know me (and my, I have to admit, weird sense of humour).

As most of you know, I live in a country that still is very foreign to me and I don't really have any one that I call friends here. Not to mention family - they all live far away.

For these reasons, I think, the availablity and the generousity of the DD community has taken me in and I feel .... accepted. And it is good and it is fun. And, it is easy to log out, when I need to be alone.

Thank you all so much - for friendships that are, yes, virtual in a sense - but ever so real to me.

Thank you Katie, Randy, Pattie, Mindy, Anna, Mel, Sam, Laura, Kayleigh, Tara & all the rest of you.

That was beautifully said, Aino. It is odd to be able to feel that I "know" so many people from all over the world, and all through this site. The community here has been and is something special. Many thanks to the ever-generous Katie and Randy and all the people who make DD a pleasant place to "hang out."

Fiona. I don't have a hangover, but my bum hurts (and is no doubt even a little bigger)from all that sitting yesterday!

My thanks too! The chats are always so fun. I had so much inspiration yesterday too. I scrapped almost 5 pages yesterday! Just put finishing touches on one this morning.
I love this place!

What they all said! Thank you Katie and Randy, all you girls who hosted chats (Sabine you were great..your first one!! and you were like an old pro!) This is the second one that I hung in practically the whole time..and yes Phyllis..it does get you in the butt! I mean I never even got dressed! It was so fun and reading all the crazy stuff was great! Can't keep up with the typing but enjoyed all the craziness just the same! Thanks for all the really cool freebies! Am backing up everything now and when I get to my Katie and Anna folders...those will take quite a while! This is the best place for digiscrapping and just plain friendship...you all are an amazing group of people and all so talented and artistic. This world isn't virtual..it's real and I am so happy I found it! I love you all!

Well said everyone. I was able to attend a couple of chats in the a.m., and then the last two of the day where everyone was a little punch drunk by then...so lots of silliness and laughter. Just what I needed. This site is awesome and so are all the active members.

I was smart this time, since I've experienced the chat hangover in the past. Now I know my limits and pace myself! Seriously, I had a family event to get to and some shopping I had to do so I missed far more than I wanted, but I sure enjoyed the day and hanging out with all you wonderful ladies.

Has anyone seen my toothpicks? They seemed to have popped out of my eyes near the end and I think I might need them again today...

It was a great time again. Thank you everyone! Aino, you expressed my feelings too so well.

Tara - you were gone to your baby shower, weren't you? How did it go?

Mel - you were like an old pro! bet noone but you realized it was your first time hosting

I had a blast. Rejected all sorts of invitations from the husband I had not seen in 3 weeks and managed to attend all hours. I learned a lot, got to know everyone better, and had FUN. Randy and Katie are so efficient and generous and SMART!!

Today, the man is out there with the chainsaw....o, darling, could you help me hold some of these fallen birch trees so I can cut them....like are you asking me to help you clear the woods....well...yes. O!!!

See y'all later!!

The chat was absolutely inspirating...loved all the subjects. It is such a good way to get everybody "together" so we can share, learn, laugh and get to know each other better. I salute Katie and Randy for their dedication to this site.

And yes I have a hangover...any good recipies that might help??? The only thing I can think of is to go to the DD store and do some shopping! What do ya think!

Since we aren't on any 12 step program or anything to quit our partying ways, sounds like a reasonable plan... see you there, save me a cart, okay?

Count me in on the chat hangover!! My eyes are shot today and my shoulders are sore. And my house is a total mess!! Well worth it though... lots of fun.

Now I just have to figure out how to make it snow in july so I can do the next one! Of course, this IS Montana, so.....

So very well said! I feel the same - had such a great time and loved everyone's company. It was so much fun, so much laughter! The prize giveaway questions and Sara's trivia question session had me giggling... there's just something about everyone talking at once and the screen flying like that that just tickles me.

Only bad news is, my body is not interested in sitting here at the computer so I can scrap . . . kinda achy and my eyeballs are tired, lol. Gonna go to church, rest, and hang with the fam a bit and hopefully I can scrap later today.

I so wish I could have hung out more here yesterday at the chats, but it was not meant to be. But thanks to everyone posting here, I got a little of the flavor of the day. Katie & Randy and all of the designers here that spend their time and energy so we can scrap and have fun with it, you all rock.

Chat hangover is a perfect description of what I am feeling. I made it to every single chat yesterday. Then I was so hyped up but the chaos that I couldn't sleep and ended up scrapping until 1am!!

Thank you so much to Katie, Randy, the designers and all the wonderful hosts. I make sure to schedule everything just right so I can take full advantage of this cool opportunity =)

It was a blast!

It was so hard coming late to the party yesterday! I feel I'd missed so much of the fun and so many margaritas!
I'm trying to catch up on all of the fabulous pages you gals made during the day. I'm really flabbergasted by the creativity
This truly is a wonderful group of online friends and I'm happy I found y'all.
Thanks to Katie, Randy and the team!

Chat days are the best aren't they? We had a busy day yesterday so I didn't get to participate as much as I would have liked. I am loving all the fantastic pages filling the gallery! WTG everyone DD is the best place to hang, there is just so much talent here & unique friendships from around the world!

what about that scavenger hunt, wasn't that something!? I felt like a little kid clicking through all those pages I just hope Katie is going to do that again, not that I expect to find anything but it sure was fun to look.
you were all such great company and I really appreciate all the time and effort the girls (and guy) put into getting this all together. Not to mention all the wonderful freebies!
