I agree with the curved text too, think it ties the page together.

I love both versions of the left side page ... the curved one is definitely softer, but something in me likes the consistency of the straight lines.
Wonderful that you learned to crurve your text ... that is a skill that will be used over and over again! I love these pages!

I do like them both, but I have to agree, I really like the way the curved text look, it fits the mood of the picture! Beautiful pages.

I'm afraid I'm with the majority in preferring the curved text. And even if you decide to go with the straight line text, the time you spent learning the technique was not wasted. ;-) Beautiful LOs!

Oh, it is fun to be asked to give an opinion on such beautiful pages. I would go with the text on a curved path.....something about circles on a page really ties things together, creates movement and seems pleasing to the eye in my humble opinion.

I like the curved text too. It seems to flow nicely with the roundness of the clipping mask, but I can see why you are torn as the straight text works well with the 2 page LO. Sorry, thats not very helpful, is it?

Thank you all again. You've given me some great ideas and made me realize that I'm not finished with this one yet. So I'm off to have more fun with it and will of course report back with whatever I finally produce. Again, it's a pleasure to have consulted you all! My husband is an artist. He and his friends often have "studio visits" with each other that can be incredibly helpful. I feel like I just had a studio visit. Thanks!

Ohhh! Both versions are wonderful. I can see what Molly is saying about the straight lines on the first page going better with the second page, but I really still prefer the curved text with the circled photo. Great fun to learn something new, isn't it?? Maybe if you put your text on the second page into a filled in half circle shape it would blend the two?? Then again, that might be too much. Either way I really think it looks GREAT.

Curves
You did a great job and love the way it accents and draws attention to the masked photo!
