Default Heritage photo layouts

I want to do a lot of my heritage photos as digi layouts. Seeking sources of inspiration. Can anyone show me some layouts you have done?

Mollie and Lynn, those are great! I have shoeboxes full of about 500 photos from my grandmother & dad, ranging from 1890-1950, that I scanned when I did 2 paper books for my dad a few years ago. I've been thinking about getting them in digital LOs, but had absolutely no idea where to start. Your LOs are beautiful and very inspirational!

Stunning book Kayleigh. Your sister must have been thrilled

(although, I have to say, that feels like just yesterday to me)

lol Lynn - I guess I think of it as 'heritage' since it's from my childhood even though I was born in 1981. My sister & parents were thrilled - I got them each to cry

I created old family pages for the family album I made mum last Christmas. Here's a couple of examples.

You can't go wrong checking out the galleries of Lynn, Molly, Merr and Carol. I admire all their marvelous pages!
Here are a couple of mine. Sometimes I do two-pagers.

Thank you all, wonderful pages and gives me loads of inspiration and some ideas of which digi papers and kits you are using.
I have been browsing through the shop and have made a quite extensive wish list. I want to have a 'restricted' set of materials to give a sense of continuity through the album so will be trimming the wish list down.
It's really good to see what you have done with the kits. I will have to have a good look round your galleries.

My mother-in-law will be 98 in September--and even though she's smoked more than a pack of cigarettes everyday for the past 82 years, she's still in great health. And she has neat little photo albums that go back to 1911! I LOVE working with her photos!

Here is one of mine I love...especially since I discovered that the original psd file was damaged and cannot be accessed!!

I like the idea of a separate gallery for heritage pages. Maybe after the transfer to the new server Randy would consider it.

Patricia, that layout is in my faves. The first time I saw it, it brought tears to my eyes and it did again today.
It's really such a lovely tribute to your parents' love for one another.

I go on vintage binges occasionally when I just want to scrap heritage photos. Here's an example and some links:

I'd love some opinions about this draft of a section page for my heritage album.
I'm not very experienced digitally yet but think I could soften or change the edges of the photo and mount. not sure if I will be doing a little journalling in the bottom or if I will leave each section with just the name and years.
I think I'll be doing a single sheet for each person I have loads of images of then do some layouts with multiple images, history and stories. I'm still trying to plan out how I want it to progress.
Trying to attach image here, first try failed!

Instead I managed to post twice.
Opinions for additions and improvements please
Tried to include an image but failed, trying a link. Will anyone tell me how to put in an image, or direct me to a post for newbies?

On the Designer Digitals Forum page there is a thread called "How To and Quick Tips."

This thread addresses how to add an image into a message:
http://www.designerdigitals.com/ddms...ead.php?t=5670

So glad you started this thread, Netleigh. I love seeing the heritage pages people are sharing here.

Your page is looking very elegant and polished. TFS!

Thanks for the link Digigrandma, here's the image.
I'll get onto a few more descriptive layouts with the other photos I have of him.
