It's my favourite gallery to look at, I just love seeing how everyone spent their weeks.
I'm hanging on, just, but still enjoying it. How is everyone else doing? Are you still enthused and excited about it? Or are you finding it a chore? I happened to look at Elena's gallery earlier, and she has all her 365 pages in an album. OMG they look amazing viewing them all side by side. Bravo Elena, this is going to be spectacular. Have a look everyone. Doesn't it look fabulous... http://www.designerdigitals.com/digi...y.php?cat=1418 Seeing that alone has really inspired me to keep going.

I'm still enjoying it, and I'm glad I decided to use a different template for each spread. I think the variety has helped me stay interested. But I do love the uniformity of albums like Elena's. Maybe I'll try that next time -- hee, hee!

I'm impressed with anyone who has kept up with the LOs. I managed the first 2, then got stuck. I've started again this month, and will go back later to fill in the blanks. That seemed the best idea otherwise I'd have always felt I was playing catch-up.
I'm still enjoying taking the photos though, and the DD Flickr group is fab company and motivation.

I am catching up at the moment. Like Linda said it was the vacation that threw me off
I have 2 weeks to do in order to be caught up. It is a chore for me, but I really want to keep up with it, I think it will really be worth it in the end

Thanks Carol! I'm so honored! I'm still enjoying it as well... but definitely some days/weeks are easier, or maybe just more inspired, than others! I love seeing everyone's pages too... what a wonderful glimpse into our everyday lives. Could you imagine if we had a book like this from our grandmothers' lives... how amazing would that be!

I'm loving it and I love seeing everyone's pages. I look forward to it each week! I saw Elena's album yesterday, too and put mine in one also (after PMing her for instructions, thanks Elena)
I can't seem to get mine in the right order though. I even renamed the files hoping that would work, but it didn't. oh, well. At least they are in a place where I can see them all at once and get an idea of how they will look in the book.

I am still excited! I love spending Saturday night deciding on which photos from each day, placing them in my calendar template and starting my weekly layout....I went to a one page design because when I started I thought 2 pagers would be easy to keep up with, not so much.
I am changing up designs/templates each month to keep it interesting. I like the idea of cohesive layouts for my book, but I get bored easily. that being said - WHAT is everyone doing about this week...the end of March and the beginning of April. Are you splitting it up? doing one week as usual? |
|
||||
|
I'm still keeping up but some weeks are more interesting than others. I still can't decide what to do about this week, though. I'm on the fence about splitting it or just making it one. I guess I'll wait until the end of the week to see which way I like better. It's always a work in progress!
|
|
||||
|
I'm still on track with the photos...I still have two weeks worth of layouts to do, but now that I have a template and a plan, it doesn't take me long to put them together. I'm really enjoying doing this! I love that I'm taking pictures of daily things that I normally wouldn't photograph, and I love that the pages give a glimpse of our weeks.

I am still on track...but finding that I am getting bored with my design....but my OCD REALLY wants a book that is uniform and cohesive.....Sometimes I do cheat(gasp**) and if I get a few really good shots on one particular day, I spread them out over the week. But like Elena said...I am doing this so my kids, (possible) grand and other family members can see what a yr in our life was like. I so wish I had something like this from my mother or grandmother.
I'm off to look at Elenas album.

I am having an easier time with it this year as compared to the first year I did it (2007). I really enjoy putting the layouts together each week or so. I am something of a perfectionist, so I have a hard time some days choosing a so-so photo (out of a collection of so-so photos) for my picture of the day, but I am really looking forward to having them all in layouts in a book at the end of the year, and I remind myself that those so-so photos are also capturing our everyday life, and that's cool too.

I am still loving it... I have enjoyed just looking back at the layouts I have done thus far. I am a little shocked that I haven't had a problem getting my layouts done. What I have been doing is making the layouts about a month in advance... this way I can just drop the pictures in as I take them. It is a huge help to stay on track =) It is also giving me the opportunity to scrap pictures I would have otherwise not devoted an entire layout too. I love it and think that just maybe it is something I will continue to do in the future.

Still going, and cheating sometimes by taking several good pictures from one day and spreading the love around. They are all still representative of the individual days, though. Things don't change much from one day to the next.
I am sometimes bored with my layout, I see Elena's and others and think they are so amazing, but if I waver with my decision, I will crash and burn. I am too indecisive, and I'd spend the rest of the year trying to decide on a format. I want to print the first book as soon as it's done. It's been fun, though it is getting to be a challenge! Oh, and to do the album, I couldn't figure out how to do it without re-uploading all my jpegs. Is there a way to take the photos from your own gallery and move them into an album?

I have been using Katie's wonderful cabana white paper as my background so there it that consistency throughout but I keep changing from templates to frames to nothing at all from week to week. I carry one consistent color theme throughout each month. Jan and Feb are all two page spreads but March is just one page per week. This week will be two pages to split the Mar days from the Apr days. I just go with whatever I am feeling from week to week to keep it going. My pictures are often boring and repetitive but this is my life and it is better to capture some memory than none at all.

I am still surprisingly on track with my photos and layouts! I figured that I would do a couple of weeks and get bogged down and slowly quit. It is lots of fun, and like JenD said, I too am enjoying looking back at the past weeks and am amazed at how much the memories stick.
I love looking at all the pages in the 365 gallery, and even though I am very pleased with the templates of Anna's that I am using . . . I want to do a book just like all of the other formats that each of you are using! I am printing my pages as 8" x 8" and placing them in a small Kolo 9 x 10.5 album week by week. I will probably print via Shutterfly at the end of the year, but for now I love the album sitting in out den. My only problem is this . . . I have lots of grandchildren and take lots of photos of them . . . more of the three who happen to live in our town. I must be fairly sure that I use an equal number of photos of each of the seven of them so that they don't get their little noses out of joint and think that their Monnie loves one of them more that the rest of them!!!!! I'm sure that you all understand my dilemma. It is hard!!!!!

Mollie I have that problem with my four children!!!
I've missed 2 days back in jan and the rest of the time am on track. Of course mine are going to be full bleed photos in a book so I dont have to do the layouts you do! I'm still enjoying it and love being a flickr with everyone. I have my 365 pictures in a set there and LOVE seeing them altogether on one page. I agree, - I would of loved one of these collections in a book from a relative; grandparent, Mother or even an earlier me Which is what keeps me going with this one. Even if they dont care much NOW I'm hoping my children will at some point!!!

I am keeping up, but not posting my pages. My format includes some journaling and I chose not to share all that!

Pam, I think that's just fine. I know of several people who are doing this challange that are not posting. These books are for us personally after all. Mollie, I figure if they want to be remembered for 2009 then they need to come home more. lol

Mollie, I think I like your grandmother. :O)
Sarah, Elena had to point out to me that once you make an "album" it shows up in the list of galleries (at the bottom). You just have to go to your page and click "edit" and change the gallery to your own. ![]() Mary, I split my last 10 days into two pages of 5 to make it balance more. :O)

Still going strong with my pages, although I haven't posted in a long while. I love using Katie's templates and mixing them up. I am keeping to a color theme for the month (and choosing to make this week April since I am bored with March's green). REALLY love the pages that have more journaling though, and am wishing I had done more on mine, but don't want to ruin the flo at this point. I am still amazed that I am on track, and don't want to change anything that might get me off that! ;-) I am also "cheating" somewhat--I have taken several shots from my route, and I use those as fillers on days when nothing much has happened. One day tends to look like all the others--and I just write a sentence or two about what actually took place that day. I thought this would keep me from my "real" scrapping pages, but it hasn't--in fact I think it has brought out a few more from days when I have more photos and I want to use them.

I can't believe that I am actually keeping up with this! It is the only scrapping that I have been doing lately, but it really has been easy. I set up my 2 page template at the beginning of the year and I have just been dropping the pics in and adding the journaling. To make it a little more interesting, I have been changing the element (always acrylic though) in the bottom corners of my pages each month. I also choose 4 different colors of papers and I am slowly fading from one color to the next until I get back to the original color at the end of the year (gray-winter to blue-spring to green-summer to brown-fall and back to gray). Everything else stays the same.
It is nice to have at least a little journaling each day so that when life settles a bit I can at least have that journaling to help me with my "regular" LO's for the big events.

I love looking thru the gallery, but with all your wonderful, creative and clever ideas on presentation, I can't decide what format *I* should use! So, I just keep shootin' those pics and typing up quick journaling so I'll remember it all when I actually get around to scrapping all those pics!
