Default Keeping certain threads question

That title isn't exactly what my question is . . . but the right words escape me!

What I would like to know is this. Is there a way in which we can save a thread to a place where we can go to retrieve them at a later date? The advice that they give, and the updates that are there are a valuable asset. I do know that we can click on the Notification in the Thread Subscription at the bottom of the page where the threads are located. But that is not exactly what I am wanting to do.

Specifically (right now) I would love to begin keeping threads that give advice on using Shutterfly all in one place, so when I am working on a book I can just hop over and "read all about it"! I know that there have been several threads recently that would be great to have in one place. I guess that I could copy and paste the URL for each one into a Word Doc. ... that might be a good thing if there is no such animal as what I am asking!

Does this exist already?

under "thread tools", click on "subscribe to thread", then follow the directions. it will save it for you. when you need to see them, go to "User CP" and go down to the "see subscriptions" and there they'll all be. it's handy -dandy. i've been saving the new /upgrade computer tips threads.

Thanks so so so much! I would have never found that on my own. I just "search" for threads and come up with some here and there, but this sounds like a great timesaver. I think that I need to do some exploring and play with all of the cool things on this site!

I really appreciate my new found knowledge . . . thanks again.

I am off to try this out, before I loose this thread.

Janice . . . I just set up a folder for Shutterfly "info" and one for Photoshop CS "info". This is going to be a great timesaver!

I just need to use the great advice that is given in all of the threads that I am saving!!!

When I subscribe to a thread here at DD, it never saves it, yet over at DST, every thread I place a comment on automatically subscribes - or it did way back before I made DD my main home and became an addict!
There must be a preference thing I never bothered checking!

This is the coolest thing since sliced bread! I just made several folders and moved some of the threads into them. It is such a sense of accomplishment to learn something new and to be able to use it. Makes life so much easier! Love this. Thanks again!
