Heather recently started a thread recognizing her/our frequent lack of acknowledgment of Cassie's tutorials when we post a page. See this thread for her/our take on that..
http://www.designerdigitals.com/ddms...ad.php?t=12113 For some time I have thought about how to share the knowledge I have gained from these tutorials. So....here's the plan...with Cassie's approval. I am starting several threads in the How TO Section where I will list the tutorials in groups of two. YOU add a link by reply with any layout you have made in which you used a specific tutorial and which illustrates how a person new to Designer Digitals might see it's use on a page. My idea is that any person new to digi can come to these threads and see where to go within Cassie's lessons to get an intro or an advanced degree!! PLEASE HELP MAKE THIS A RICH AND USEFUL TOOL FOR ALL OF US. THANKS, Patricia ETA: This is a revised version of an earlier message with me volunteering to insert all the page links illustrating the tutorials. Cassie suggested this above as a smarter way....gotta love that girl. How old is she again??

No, no, no, dstnd2be, this isn't about proper credit, suga. This is just about appreciating Cassie's great tutorials. If you haven't used one take a look at the threads as they fill out with examples and you'll see what we are raving about. On the other hand, you may already know all the stuff I had to learn since you've been using PS for 15 years!! you lucky thing!!

OHHHHHH OK!!!!!!! Let me go check out some of her stuff, I have come to find that you can always learn something new. Whether it be a technique, a short cut, etc!!!
There is so much to this board. I am always finding new things. I just learned about the blog last week -hahahaaaaa - I am so slow! |

Check out her tutorials in the store. They have a really good listing of what is included in each one. A lot of them come with mini kits so that they are a take & make type of tutorial. She has loads of short cut tips throughout the tutorials as well.
I knew a bunch of photoshop before digi scrapping but have learned oodles from her tutorials. It has taught me how much I didn't know or the easier ways to do things. I did a lot of things the long, hard way before. |

This is such a GREAT idea and I know it would help a newbie like me. For example, I keep seeing this cool technique like how the word "love" is done here:
![]() Kayleigh's "Love U 2" page and I'm wondering if Cassie's Sticker Art tutorial is what I could use to learn how to do that?

Yes, Kathleen, Cassie's sticker art tutorial will teach you how to turn anything into a sticker. The method she uses in the tutorial will achieve the look as shown in Kayleigh's layout as well as provides you with a more adaptable method than doing a simple stroke technique for more intricate stickers like the art shown on the front of the tutorial.

Wow... doing this taught me how many of Cassie's tutorials I have done as a take & make tutorial and how many I have read and use daily but didn't actually do the take & make portion of it...
well.. take the mini kit elements because she taught me to do that in the first layout tutorial and use them but not actually done a page following the tutorial. I have some to go back to as I am sure there is stuff I missed just reading and not doing the tutorial along the way. |
