Default Random Inspiration chat notes

It seems like every where you look in the stores, there are wonderful colors that are reminding you that spring and summer are just around the corner. During this chat we talked about how you can find inspiration for bringing spring to your layouts even if it isn’t in your backyard yet.

Last weekend, my husband, daughter and I were in JoAnn’s buying art supplies for our daughter and there was all of this wonderful fabric in lovely colors. It inspired me and it made me realize that I have been bringing spring into my layouts even when there is 2 feet of snow outside and some of those layouts are about snow, but who says that a layout about snow has to be cold. Why can’t it be warm and vibrant like the sunshine that is shining and allowing us to be outside?

Some questions mentioned:
I find that I will be all about blue or pink or neutral colors and it will last for a while and then there will be something else.
Do you find yourself going through phases with color?

I have been inspired by paintings in galleries, shampoo bottles in my shower, an outfit my daughter is wearing, a flower, and any other number of random things I see. Where have you found inspiration for color?

When I am blocked, I find myself focusing on telling stories or going through my photos to jog my memory for ideas. Sarah (sshbabymine) and I actually did a challenge (last weekend) where we swapped photos and set up a challenge. There is something so freeing and fun about scrapping someone else’s photos! And we chose summer photos, to get a little sunshine in the winter! Where do you find yourself turning to for inspiration when you need it?

I had such a great time chatting with all of you!!

Thank you Erin! Great notes to go back and revisit some more of your suggestions as I only had the rise part going on at your rise & shine time.

I'm spending way too much time at the Big Huge Labs site - thanks so much for the link Erin, it's such a fun place to be and I can see how this could be a huge help when choosing a color palette for a photo. The other links look good too - thanks, and I'm sorry I missed such an interesting chat.
