Default 365 - almost messed up!

So, last night at 10:15 I suddenly remember I had not taken a picture! I panicked at first & then ran and took a picture of our ketchup bottle. My family for sure is thinking of counseling for me. LOL. I had thought recently of doing a LO on why we use that particular brand, especially when it is NOT the brand I grew up with. Anyway, it saved me in a pinch. I need to have a list of other "pinch" pictures.

I think making a list is an EXCELLENT idea! (I love that you took a picture of a ketchup bottle....that's a food group in our house!) We should start a list of ideas so we all have a "go to list" to look at when we are in a pinch!

The ketchup bottle is so funny - it had me laughing. Yet look at all the stories you probably have because of ketchup! Didn't you once spill it, and ruin your favorite blouse? and what about your favorite brand of ketchup? I remember as a young lady (about 20 yrs. old), and living away from home without any money for dinner. I cooked spaghetti noodles with just ketchup as a sauce! It was yuck!!

My 365 is a little mixed up because I'm straddling the fence between taking a photo a day - and making memories of what I do every day. The memories are losing out over the "ketchup bottles".

About prompts - there's a zillion of them at DST, and all over the web. Or we could start a list here at DD - oops just notice there's one going on!

Great idea to make a list. My family thinks I am a little crazy, too. Oh, well...

My family also thinks I am a little nuts... but my husband will now point things out and say... "hey, don't you want a picture of that!"

he, he can't wait to see : )
- my dh is helping as well.
I am taking lots of photos everyday - it is hard trying to pick just one for my layout!

We bought the Nikon S60 to keep in my purse so I don't always have to drag out the 40D.

Dh thought I was crazy when I took a picture of him shampooing the carpet yesterday. I have yet to explain to him about Project 365, but I hadn't got a picture for the day yet and we were in sanitize mode in our house after having pneumonia-so I figured that was a good thing to document...he didn't think taking a picture of him shampooing was necessary!

I have (in my head) made a list of these extra 'emergency' photo ideas. A couple of nights ago it got to 11 pm before I remembered I hadn't taken a photo, so I took one of my back garden covered in snow.

Some of the ones on my list are

Handbag
Contents of handbag
Cosy corner where you spend your evening
Computer (showing DD possibly)
PJs
Your favourite mug
Favourite ornaments
Other family members' favourite books/DVDs/whatever

Just a short list, but I've already used a couple of them.

I'm missing a few days, too, but I'm just gonna stick in extras I have from the day before or after... I mean, really. I just canNOT take ONE photo of ONE thing... so I've got spares on most days! But, that list would be very helpful indeed! It's only February... I've got a long ways to go!

ha! Love it, your family will definitely think you're nuts. But you've given me a great idea for a layout myself. The things I buy no matter what, no matter if there's a cheaper identical brand, just because I must have the brand I've always used. Hmmmmmmm.

Love the ketchup bottle! Looking forward to seeing it! I've taken some random pics late night in a pinch too. My friends now roll their eyes when I pull out my camera. For some reason, they are embarrassed when I whip out my camera in Starbucks... why is that???? I think a backup list is a great idea... there is one here at DD?

I have a bunch of everyday photos that I've been taking because I missed 4 days in January due to some unexpected family stuff that came up. I was just lucky that I had extra photos, so now I'm taking 4-5 photos/day and then not sweating it if I skip a day or two.

Here's the extra photos I have:
-the front of my fridge
-a note my daughter wrote to me
-the inside of my pantry
-my favorite chocolate snacks
-my kids' backpacks packed and ready to go
-my coffee cup
-dh's shoes on the steps
-the cat sleeping in a doll's bed
-a pile of papers on my kitchen counter

My son told me last night..."Mom, are you going to take a photo of me in front of the computer 365 times?" Referring to the fact that I am always rummaging around at the end of the day with my camera looking for that last minute shot! Glad to know I am not the only one!

wellllllll..... I've called my book of 365 photos
'365 or thereabouts'
and so far I've missed 3 days. I am not going to sub in a photo, or beat myself up on this... if I get most days I'm happy.
I speak from experience, last year I did it for so long and then missed a day and told myself I had 'failed', heaped on the 'I have ruined the project' feelings SO MUCH that I quit. and felt awful. and moped. - seriously, {I know, I needed to get a life LOL}
so this time I'm 'going with the flow' a bit more! and I would rather of had a 100 of my grandparents photos than none at all, IYSWIM...
