Default How many layouts?

How many layouts do you think you do per week? I'm trying to streamline my time and set aside a few nights just for digi scrapping (I still scrap with paper, too, , but not nearly as much as digi) and I've realized that I used to scrap about 20 layouts/month which is about 5 layouts/week. There's no way I scrap that much now! But, I want to get back to it.

I just looked back through my gallery and I'm averaging 23 per month. Of course, having assignments for Wendy lit a little fire under me and there were a few template books included which go much faster. And, let's face it, I'm simple!

Um . . . these ladies are a tough act to follow . . . and remember that Katrina is doing FULL MONTH books. lol

If I'm lucky, I get to make two layouts per week right now.

I'm trying to do better.

I go in spurts because some months are just less packed than other months. Some months I have projects and do a lot. Some months I have less commitments. And then other months like December and May are notoriously busy.

During the summer when there were less "extra" things going on in life I did about 20 layouts/month. More common, though, is 10 layouts/month.

Right now I'm working on a gift album and I'll probably get 20 layouts done this month. I have a deadline of Jan. 28 to have it ready to print at Shutterfly so I am working like crazy to get an many done and uploaded to Shutterfly as I can.

NOOOO!!! You are not allowed to answer, Mel!!

Cassie - I'm with you - I'm lucky to get 2/week right now. And that's even with assignments.

hey steph!!

probably about 3, except last month when I did one every day for December. I might work on one during the week and then do a couple on the weekend.

I am doing the 365 project - which is a two pager a week, so I won't count that.

I wish I could scrap more

I try to work on it a little each day. I do about 3-5 a week. But, if I am pressed to get something done... like my Mexico Album... I did 22 pages in a week (But that was a really super simple book).

I have been scrapping a lot in the past month, but still not as much as I would like. Each layout takes a lot more time than I would like, or like to admit. At least I don't have to take the time to put away scissors, glue and other "stuff."

Next week I go back to school and my scrapping will have to stop until my next vacation!

I've been on a roll lately and getting 5-7 done a week. However, I really need to spend some time on Cassie's tutorials so I see that going down some. And of course, golf starts soon so I'll be on the golf course. Just don't have enough "free" time to do what I want. This thing called a "job" gets in the way.

I probably average 4-5 per week. I can't seem to get enough of it. (is this stuff somehow addicting?)

Since I work full time, I don't get as much done as I would like. I'm usually tried by the time I get home, so my creative juices are pretty low. I want to get at least One a week done, but on a good week I usually get two to three. It all depends on the creative juices

I'm the same as Tara, work full time and I also sometimes have to work late at college to catch up on admin etc. Yuck!!!! so I aim for 2 pages a week, that way I manage to give DH and DD some time and attention in the evenings too...there are just not enough hours in a day for me — if I had my way I would scrap every single day, but that's impossible so I go with the flow, sometimes no pages, sometimes lots...Que sera sera...

When we collapsed after the big grouping of renovations to get moved in, it seems my creative juices also collapsed. We are just now feeling up to starting renovations again and my creative juices are also on the rebound... would also help if my photographic skills would improve as I am fighting with my camera to focus properly more often so I end up with usable pictures to scrap.

Used to get 4-5/week... now, 1-2/month but rising!

I work full-time as well, so it really comes down to how I am feeling and everyone else when I get home from work - oh and whether or not I have a meeting, dh has a meeting or hockey stuff.

I would love to stay home and just scrap all day!

I also work full-time - which, as most of you know, means full-time work OUTSIDE of the home and pretty much full-time INSIDE the home.... so keeping that in mind - I also scrap when I have time (also sometimes when I should be doing other stuff) - and when I feel for it.
Sometimes none, sometimes I whip them out 4-5 at a time. That's me, as I mentioned in another thread - I work efficiently and fast when I work. When I don't... I don't.

I used to make 2 paper layouts a week. That was because I was tired in the evenings and just pulled everything out on the weekends. With digi I scrap more during the week, but it is usually just about 3-4 pages a week. Still more than I used to make! And I still throw in a paper one every now and then.

My classes keep my pretty busy, so I am lucky if I even get one page a week. I try to do do digi scrapping on the weekends, but that doesn't always turn out. Hopefully in the summer I will be able to get more pages done!

I have been averaging about 2-3 a week, not counting retreats where I can get more done. I tend to really go in spurts, 10 at a time, none for six months. It depends on what my schedule is doing. But for me, the deciding factor has always been how excited I am about the pictures. Fun, photo-filled events get much more intensive scrap time; those "everyday" pictures that don't seem to go anywhere stall me pretty quickly.

But like Amy, I used to only pull my stuff out on weekends when I did paper, so I was much less prolific. Now that there's no mess (Yee-hah!) and awesome product, I find myself piecing pages together much more frequently.

I'm like Fiona, Tara and Mary. Work full time and only do a little bit during week...so tired at night and not very creative. I'm such a morning person (early to bed, early to rise) My best scrapping time is on Sat a.m. Sooooo only 1 or 2 layouts a week.

My average is 2-3 a week, sometimes more when I am doing the 10 weeks 2 treasure challenge. I try to scrap at least 1h in the mornings but I never scrap on the weekends.

You can definitely see when my real job is busy!

So my 23 a month might be a bit misleading

Since I switched to digital scrapping, I've been so much more productive; it's really ALL I want to do. I try to scrap some everyday and usually do a layout a day. I'm retired now which gives me more time; I don't think I would have been as productive when I was working full time outside the home.

I scrap a little bit everyday, but usually only for a few minutes here and there throughout the day. My full time job is at home so I can pop on for 15 minutes here and there. I try to FINISH one a week. Sometimes when the mojo is flowing (and the kids are good) I can get a few more done a week. Looking back thru my gallery I can tell when the mojo is good, Ive busted out 15 in one month, I agree with Sam too, those months I scrap more, my work is better...it's kike they feed off eachother. This month it will be more as I am almost done with #5 and 6.

When I have time, I'll do one or more per day. When I am overwhelmed with work and life, I'll do one a week or less. If I were lucky enough to GET an assignment, it would surely spur me into more scrapping! But for now, my goal is one per day but I'm not doing it.

I usually manage to get at least one done every couple of days. I scrap while Ryan has his morning nap, so that gives me a few hours, and then some more when Daniel gets home from work.

I am officially addicted to my laptop - even if I'm not working on a page, I pop on here all the time to see what's going on

that was one hard one how to keep track with that - well since I did 610 Lo's last year - that must be around 10-20 each week.

And from last Thursday until yesterday I did 49 Los.. but that is because I just had to get done with the vacation album of last year - it ended on 147 pages.... so now I can get back to doing one or two each day again and be a little more artistic.
