Lightbulb Question for Cassie

Cassie- I absolutely love this layout:

Are you planning to do a How To on the stitching you did to the word Love, in Anna's new love brushes, or is that in the brushes and I can find it?

It is not part of the brush set. I used Anna's brush as a go-by to create a path and then I used Katie's hand drawn stitches brushes to stroke the path. My "P.S. I Love You" tutorial addresses how to create paths. Then it's just a matter of setting your brush size and clicking the "Stroke Path with Brush" icon.

This is a technique that can only be done in PS, as PSE does not have the option to create custom paths and stroke them with a brush.

Does this all make sense, or does it need to be PSILY Tutorial No. 2?

ETA: By the way, THANK YOU so much for complimenting me on the page!

OK, Miss latenight, I worked through the PS iLove you Tut, I have a path. now where is that "Stroke Path with Brush" icon?? I made my path with the freeform pen tool. Does that make a difference?

LOL . . . glad you found it, Patricia! For anyone else, it's an icon on the Paths palette. Just make sure you've created a blank layer for your brushes before you switch over to the Paths palette and use that command.

OK, I did it using my wacom to make my own heart shape and then tried it with a marquee square to stitch down a photo....pretty cool to learn. Thank you Laura for asking and thank you Cassie for teaching. I so love that little girl snugged into the envelope. Mine's a tad bigger now.! LOL

Thanks for the info, Cassie! I love that layout of yours so much. I would have had no idea how to do that stitching.

And Patricia, you must be a fast learner! That is a wonderful page and story. Glad your girl is better
