recoloring overlays

Good afternoon ladies,

I know this is an easy one, but how do you recolor photo overlays? I'm using PSE7.
I'm just amazed at this type of scrapbooking. With paper scrapping, I would always have to do over and over and over because I'm a cluzto. Now i just click that undo button (imagine angels singing from the heavens : )

thank you so much Sara. My co-worker wants me to make him a scrapbook for his going away. I'm not there yet for complete books, but I'm learning a bit at a time--holy moly, there's a pretty big learning curve!!
