Default Publishing Layouts- Digi Friendly

With magazines folding everywhere, what publications are digi-friendly now a days, and worth/safe submitting to?

I have had good luck with CK, Memory Makers and Scrapbook Trends. CK and MM pay $ and ST only gives out paper scrapbook supplies (which I find amusing for a digi layout)..

I know MM is having a call right now for wedding layouts - they do want never before seen stuff only!

Thanks Mary... I was hoping that you would respond!

Now with CK... a lot of you are constantly featured on the web gallery. Do they ever pull layouts for the mag from the gallery? Or only "never before seen?"

I did have that happen once, but now they have a feature every month where a few layouts from the gallery are picked and readers vote which one will be published in an upcoming issue..for certain calls, CK will ask for never before seen, especially for idea books, so make sure you follow the submission guidelines...and they do accept general submissions as well, so hey if you think you have something I would submit it as a General Submission

posting in the CK gallery is a good way to get on the radar of CK editors - and give DD some well deserved credit - nothing like some praise from Jana Lille!!

good luck!

They pulled one of mine out of their gallery! It will be in the May issue.

Congrats, Amy!

There are also several e-zines that pub digi work - ready set create is one, scrapstreet is another. i don't know if rsc pays or not, but at scrapstreet we don't. but we've got thousands of readers.

Congrats Amy!!!
When CK change to the new site I have trouble posting layouts at CK. The size/name/ are the correct size and title, but it just will not allow me to post at all. I have tried a couple time this week and last week and it just wont let me. It wont even let me post in the general talk area also. Its so wierd, sometimes it lets me post there and then it wont.

So many people have trouble uploading and logging on there; Firefox does seem to work best.
