My dd's first LO!

Call me the proud mom, but I just had to point out my dd's (8 yr. old) first LO. She has been bugging me to learn how to "make scrapbooks like you do, Mom" for some time now, so I handed her Cassie's tutorial on Getting Started with Templates and she pretty much handled it from there. I just had to show her where all of my papers and stuff were.

She really did a good job and I was just hoping that some of you would give her some encouragement so that she is excited to keep scrapping...it's fun to share something that I enjoy so much with my dd!

I liked this page even before I knew it was done by an eight-year-old. Really! What strikes me the most, though, is that now you have something wonderful that you can share together, making pages and books together. What an incredible mom-daughter activity in the years to come (especially when she's a teenager LOL). Can't wait to see more of her layouts. Susie

You all are so awesome!! Thank you so much for making my daughter feel welcomed and inspired. When she came home from school yesterday and saw 4 pages of comments she was so excited. She was hoping for a snow day today so that she could do some more, but no such luck. Luckily they don't have school on Monday, so we have a 3 day weekend to play!

I should have known she would have an eye for this...she has always been good at design stuff. She is always designing clothes for her dolls and planning new color designs for her bedroom. Now maybe we can scrapbook instead of her constantly asking me to change the color on her bedroom walls!
