Default Project 365 & Shutterfly

Ok I dove in and completed the first 2 weeks today. BUT I'm trying to save myself time and upload to shutterfly as I go (BTW thanks for the tip girls), but I'm new to all of this and wanted to make sure I am uploading it right the first time (otherwise a year of reuploading would just do me in). What dimensions o I need to make my page in order to print all the way to the edge at Shutterfly. I'm sure I've done it wrong and want to correct it now. I checked the Getting Started, but I'm not sure I understand bleeds and the other terminology. HELP please!

I just check by using the downloaded template from Shutterfly. ARe you doing 8x8 or 12x12?

Design specs:

Uploading:

I've found it the best way to have my pages uploaded, gosh I have so many folders that pages are going into for future projects.

For an 8x8 book I save my page at 7.95 x 7.95. I did notice when I got the book that I lost some of the layout due to the binding. I will now make sure that I have a good 1/4 to 1/2 inch of area without anything crucial around the page.

Great idea to upload as you go!!

For 8x8 I resize to 7.95x7.95...for 12x12 I resize to 11.95x11.95. I always try to leave about 1/2 inch of stuff that is not crucial on the binding side of any page and about 1/4 inch on the rest of the sides.

I also upload as I go and it is sooooo much easier!

What kind of book shall I start with at Shutterfly if I want to get my layouts at the whole page?

I can just find books where I can add photos and their designs. How do I get a "clean" one from start? Any tip?

First, create your digital layout. For best results use a shutterfly template or leave a 1/4-1/2 away from the border with nothing important in that area because that may get clipped off.

Next, upload your layouts to shutterfly just like you would upload photographs that you wanted printed.

Then go to the option to create a Memory or Story book. To get there go to: http://www.shutterfly.com/shop/digit...product_c21160

Choose from options on style. When you have your book template there you will have to get your pages/pictures from the folder you uploaded them to. Upload them, then arrange them.

I hope that helps.

if you just click the print services button at the top of this forum page it takes you to the digital scrapbooking section of shutterfly.
