I see Aino has posted some photos on the DD Photo a Day Flicker Group, but haven't seen any others. Is this the group to post daily photos to, or is everyone waiting until the 7th day to post a LO?
I've coerced my children into joining me for this project, and I am planning "themes" and photo lessons we can concentrate on throughout the year. We'll see who lasts longest!! LOL!!! We all went on a walk and got our photos for the day. It was an "Explore the Camera" day for my children, but my daughter got a REALLY great photo of our manger from her diminutive point of view. I think it will be such fun for all of us, no matter how long it lasts. Just wanted to encourage everyone on this first day! Happy shooting!

I'm not sure if there's a particular place set up. I was going to post a weeks worth in a double layout to begin with, and then post it to my new blog (that hasn't been set up yet!) I sent my first photo to Sam's Group in Flickr - It's about new things and I have so many new things in our home planned, although I don't know when I'll get them started - renovating is all so overwhelming!

I am doing a photo a day, but I am just putting them into a LO & will post the weekly LO in the DD gallery. I LOVE the DD Flickr group, but honestly, I feel like I am setting myself up for failure if I tell myself that I have to take a pic, edit, put in a LO with a little journaling, and try to post to Flickr and comment on other's photos. I am going to concentrate on taking better pics in RAW & journaling a little each day. I look forward to seeing what everybody else is doing!

I have the same plan, I can't see myself editing and posting a pic every day. It takes me long enough to go through the gallery several times a day. A page a week sounds good to me too

I love posting in the flickr group-you get great comments there!
But we'll see-maybe a lo of the week's photos would be easier. Jazz if you want to post at flickr you will find the DD group to be a lot of fun.

I remembered to take photos! My biggest problem in the past years is that I would take photos and then not upload them right away. And when I did, I could never remember what day it was. So this year I'm taking a picture of my calendar with the day marked and then I'll know all the photos behind that are for the day. I'm hoping that helps. (My day/time thing on the camera never is right).

The editing and posting part is the hardest for me too. Since posting/blogging is part of my goal, I need to figure out an easier way to do this. Maybe Katrina or someone that does this daily can chime in on some tips. Can't wait to see everyones daily life! I, however am not planning on scrapping these photos every week. I will blog them, and/or Flickr them, and them do layouts as I feel it. I can't force myself into doing layouts then I lose my creative flow.

I am going to try to take a photo most days, but I'm not putting pressure on myself to do it every day. On my work days, I leave at 7 am and get home at 6 pm, and believe me, I don't want to take photos at work! I am also not going to ask myself to edit and post them every day, but I want to put more on my blog and scrap as many as I can.
I think this is a great way for us to encourage each other to meet whatever goals we set for ourselves.

I would love to do a 365 thing, or a photo a day - I very much doubt I will be able to keep it up though. But I am off to a good start - !!!!
I got one posted yesterday!! LOL!! I have a very busy spring ahead, but I think the DD Flickr is a great place to post - I "know" everyone there and the atmostphere is friendly. Of course. ![]() Shall we say a month at a time?? As I mentioned in a post on the Flickr site - I most definately find it easier to start shooting photos once a day than dieting or exercising!!! LOL!!! Please join in!

Hello everyone!
I'm so ignorant when it comes to this Flickr thing. I went on the website, but I have no idea what to do. I noticed something about a DD flickr group. Will one of you kind ladies please explain to me how to join and what to do? I'll try and play along, but I'm still trying to finish Trent's one year album, and well, he's already 13 and 1/2 months. LOL. Still. This sounds like it could be fun. Thank you so much. I don't know what I'd do without you.... Renee

I'm going to post to the Flickr group every day, or at least a few pictures every few days. My shots are odd enough right not that a lot of cropping and/or post-processing isn't going to help them, I'm just there for the fun and learning! I'm justplainjen17 there. Scrapping is my hard part - I'm going to be using templates and keeping it simple. I'm still tempted by Becky Higgins' Project 365 album if it ever comes back into stock. This year, developing my photography is my main concern.

If I actually take one photo a day I am going to do very happy with myself! I usually do end up with a POD, but not always by design. I've posted at Flickr before, but I get behind and then strive to catch up . . . but, that hasn't happened very well of late.
I may just keep them in a 365 file on my desktop and try to post a loyout here at the DD . . . maybe at Flickr too . . . {maybe, just maybe} I won't fall behind again.

I don't worry about editing my photos for the DD flickr group unless I have the time (and commenting goes the same route). It got me thinking of my photos in a whole new way and was alot of fun. I'm continuing and this year hope to post each day. I also don't worry about scrapping these photos ... yet another project!

ok, call us all crazy. This will be my 500th, addict qualifying post, so I thought it appropriate that it should be about the gallery I asked Randy to make for us for the 365 Projects. I just asked and he just did it!! Hope every one will use it so we can all see these pages together.
LOVE BEING HERE WITH YOU!!

I am starting this project too, but just could not commit to scrapping it with paper. I am loving the templates here at DD, so will use Ali's calendar, for January. I too have a folder with just the photos from 365, so hopefully it will be easier to manage, file wise. I am looking forward to doing this, and have loved seeing all that each of you are doing. Thanks for the support.

I'm having fun with this project so far. I've been uploading mine to Flickr and putting them on my blog.
I looked for the DD Flickr group, is it the one that has been running since last year or is there a new one?

I can't decide why I'm struggling with this so much, maybe cuz i'm worried about overdoing it only to be redundant.
For those of you that are doing this-do you blog on a regular basis?? I'm just thinking I'll have my year documented through my blog with pictures when I print it at the end of the year. In my mind, I'll take a picture every day-blog several and the possibly put them into the 365 templates Katie made and then scrap the good ones on top of all of that. So I'm just wondering if I should cut out scrapping them weekly and just let my blog take care of that. Any suggestions?? Anyone else struggling with a similar concept? |
|
||||
|
Well I decided to start a blog specifically for this project. That way I can see the photos, without being distracted by general posts. I'm hoping the notes I put with the photos on my blog will help with journalling when I get round to turning them possibly into LOs.
I just know I always have a lot more ideas for LOs than I ever get round to actually scrapping lol.

I think if you're blogging and printing the blog - I'd skip the weekly layouts. Scrap the good ones and maybe do a monthly layout if you want more of a "review" style page... if it's too hard, you won't do it.
I'm going to scrap weekly (the same LO every week probably) and upload to Flickr more-or-less daily - whenever I get around to it really. That's all I'm "committing" to doing. |
