For you who wanted to know, Oblaten are waferthing round or square thingies (for a lack of a better word), like the host in church, only smoother. In Germany they are used a lot under cookies. You just place your dough on top, it keeps them moister on the inside and they won't stick. Most kids love to just eat them. We called them eatable paper.
Sauerbraten is a German specialty roast. It has to marinate for 2 days in red wine and red wine vinegar, so it has a slightly sour flavor. Boy is it ever good. You serve it with potato dumplings (out of a package )You can all come over and have a taste
