Default Daily December Confession

You have all been posting such nice comments on my Daily December pages I thought I had to confess something. Several of you have commented on my energy and asked how I have the time/energy...

well...here's the confession

I have NOTHING wrapped!! Not one single present!! I'm leaving tomorrow for 4 days spent between two families...and not a stitch of anything has paper around it!!! Ahhhh! So while I've been documenting my days with my dh and ds take a look back and notice that no prep appears And one child definitely makes it easier, I have no concept of how any of you remarkable ladies function with more than one!

Oh...and on another note, I do believe I have time too because we have NO tv in our house. Of course, if I had a TV I might have things wrapped since the computer keyboard takes 2 hands!!!

Happy Holidays all!

(now I feel better!)

Oh, Katrina, you are too funny! I just love your sense of humor! I didn't wrap anything until yesterday and was pooped when I finished. I still need to get two gift cards, and my family is coming to my house for dinner tonight. What am I doing? Checking the gallery and the new posts. What can I say? I'm addicted.

oh katrina! I didn't wrap til Sunday when the boys were at hockey...did cookies last night and am still trying to catch up..

and I am so lucky to have a dh who works from home, who just so happens not to be busy right now, so he is minding our kids and taking photos for me while I show up at my job every day.....

your confession was not necessary, but if it makes you feel better that woo hoo for you!! Merry Christmas - I have enjoyed this journey with you, regardless of whether your gifts are wrapped on not : )

I am the bag lady! (Gift bags, that is!) I was able to buy an assortment of gift bags discounted after last Christmas at Sam's Club. Like Kathie says it makes wrapping easy peasy!

So, I have the gifts all bagged up, but, now, the hard part. I will be cleaning and cooking non-stop today and tomorrow.

Good luck everyone with your last minute preparations.

I have to say this, Katrina, when Ian grows up and looks back on his life, he is way more going to appreciate having all your lovely pages to help him remember things than the memory of whether or not the gifts were wrapped. Gift bags are the answer, my friend. So I say scrap on. I still think you are amazing!

oh the joys of gift bags ... let me count the ways.
your note cracked me up, Katrina!

I'm with you on the being in awe of moms with several children. They are my sheroes.
i always say that God gave me one child at a time for a reason ... He knew I couldn't handle more than that! hee! (there are 13 years between our 2 sons!)

Katrina you cracked me up! I don't feel so bad now---I kept wondering she must be super woman to do all this and a little one to boot!!

Ian is going to enjoy the scrapped pages much more than the wrapping paper later in life.

Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

thank you Katrina!!!! Your trip to the Zoo totally floored me! I finally managed to get everything wrapped yesterday, so I had time for the chat last night, while baking my german cookies and prepared the marinade for my Sauerbraten. It would be easier if the kids didn't still believe in Santa (at least 2 of them), so everything has to be done just so. I haven't scrapped in a couple of days and I am starting to shake from withdrawal

I personally think that advising your DD friends on lens is the most important part of this holiday!!! Further, I consider wrapped presents to be the full extent of decoration required for festive fun. So I have my husband in there right now wrapping them!! And I didn't even think about daily december doing....but i LOVE my LENS.

Have a safe two trips and ...take photos!!

Confession is good for the soul! Katrina- I just make myself do the bad stuff, i.e. wrapping, mailing, etc. before the good stuff like scrapping. That way I get to enjoy my hobbies with out GUILT! Merry Christmas!

This is a riot, because I haven't folded clothes in three days, I have two loads piled up by the washing machine, the kitchen floor isn't mopped, I didn't put any decorations up except in the living room this year (forgot to buy greenery!), my son is taking more "naps" than he usually does, well, you get the point.

I've been happy to sacrifice the "perfection" (ha-ha!) and let things slide to have a little fun. I can't eat good food---no bread, sweets, treats, cookies, mashed potatoes, s'mores, nothin'---so this is my holiday indulgence. It's been a blast!

Too funny Katrina! But aren't you the one who had 52 people to entertain? I am in a little over my head at this point with family obligations and some baking left to do. But I have wrapped my gifts and SCRAPPED A PAGE ABOUT IT!

This is the reason I love these forums...i feel much better knowing there are others out there that let the laundry baskets of clean clothes pile up for days. Hope everyone has a wonderful Yule!

At least you have things to wrap Katrina!!! In this house most of the older ones get money or gift certificates from their favorite store. Or it's been mailed to them already gift wrapped from the Internet. The littlest ones have lovely boxes that don't need wrapping from Jamboree - they even came with ribbon and tissue!

So I'll probably stay up half the night making card money holders!

Katrina, don't feel bad. I only just started wrapping myself, and only because my husband took the 3-year-old out for 3 hours so I could get something done! Hope you make it, it's crunch time!!

how funny Katrina ! Thanks for making us feel less bad ! Your album is going to be such a heirloom ! I'm guilty of not wrapping too... I had the kids presents wrapped at the store, and my SIL wrapped my other presents (even the one I am giving her), my mom is complaining that I am no help this year but I am trying to explain to her that I desperately need to finish my YIR album. I did promise my dad to wrap his presents before tonight but meanwhile, I'm scrapping away !
Get gift bags Katrina and while the paper will vanish that wonderful album of yours will stay ! Love it !

"My name is Katrina and I'm a scrapaholic. And I need help." Is that what you meant to say? If so, I'll join your group.
