Default Paper for Calendar Printing??

Ok, my guides.......I've got my calendars done and now what paper do I use for printing?? I've read the earlier thread about Cassie's skinny hybrid project and found it helpful. BUT what paper do I use for a calendar designed to hang on the wall and be written on?? I am printing at home and tried cardstock so the calendar can be written on (big enough to add appts, birthdays, etc.) but the picture does not look right. I can use gloss to get the best picture but then writing on the page will be compromised. I'll be printing and then binding with the Binditall and hope to give them this year!! LOL

Any brilliant solutions?? or experience with this?? Thanks in advance.

what about a matte finish photo paper - I LOVE the Epson matte papers - does not compromise the photo quality at all.

I used Epson Premium Presentation Paper Matte to do mine.
Ultra Premium Presentation Paper Matte would be great, too.

Can you print on both sides of the Epson?

yes, Epson has a double-sided matte paper called:

Premium Presentation Paper Matte, Double-sided

that you can use to print on both sides with no bleed-through. I've had really good luck with it - I use it to make greeting cards a lot.

Sara, where do you buy it? Online? or local? Thanks for your help.

I usually buy online at Atlex.com or Epson.com although, occasionally I can find what I want at Best Buy. Atlex has the best prices.

I use Kodak Photo Paper Gloss 165gsm. It comes in A4 here. Perhaps you have it in 8.5x11?
It is gloss on one side and matt on the other.

I made calendars this years too. I printed them on 8.5x11 white cardstock. It's a pack by Georgia Pacific that I bought at Walmart. I figured it would be thick enough and still allow people to write on them with any type of pen. They turned out great!

Thank you all for your great advise. Mission accomplished. I posted this on another thread and wanted to follow up here, too.
--------------
I had this same issue but wanted to print at home. See the excellent advice here:

http://www.designerdigitals.com/ddms...ad.php?t=10972

I printed on matte photo paper using my Epson Stylus Photo R200 and they turned out great. I do have to turn the brightness way up on the photos to make them print correctly. I think it is a Photoshop adjustment issue but as Cassie once told me the easiest thing is to just turn up the brightness to lighten the image.

I used the BinditAll for the first time and it works!!. Good luck with your project.
