After the [ you need to actually put url= and then the URL. Everything else looks fine.

I just read Cassie's tutorial. Wow! I think the credits I see in the gallery with the urls are cool, but doesn't it take forever to type them in? I had wondered how it was done. Thanks for asking, Cheryl.

that's what I do, I go back and forth. Sometimes it takes longer to actually find an item in the store. I like to have the links in the credits though, sometimes I wish I had the links when I like something on a page

Okay, you've convinced me -- I think I'll try it the next time. I had figured out it must be a two-window type of thing. I'm like you, Katrina, I don't usually use a ton of product, so maybe it won't cut down too much on my scrapping time! Hee, hee!

I have a notepad document where I keep a list of the products I have, along with the URL code, all set out ready, so all I have to do is copy & paste from there.
I used to just do it for the products I used the most so that I didn't have to keep going to the store to find the links again and again, but now whenever I buy something new I do it straight away, and the whole link is just ready for me to copy to my credits list ![]() I have no idea if that makes any sense LOL... |

Yes after a layout or two it becomes quick and easy. Two windows help!! Its always nice when they are easy to find in the store too!!

I've figured out a way to do this---I started a notepad document with the designer's name, and the code and description already typed so I can just copy and paste the link and description. As I buy stuff, I create the link right away so it's there when I need it. I might put it into Word so I can make the description bold to find it more easily.
For instance, here's a sample of what I did: (I'm leaving the opening [ out so it doesn't make it a hyperlink; put a [ before the first url to make it work.) Anna Aspnes url=http://www.designerdigitals.com/digital-scrapbooking/supplies/product_info.php/products_id/5951]Anna Aspnes 12X12 FotoBlendz No. 1 Katie Pertiet url=http://www.designerdigitals.com/digital-scrapbooking/supplies/product_info.php/products_id/6382]Holiday Trees No. 9 Brushes-n-Stamps Lynn Grieveson url=http://www.designerdigitals.com/digital-scrapbooking/supplies/product_info.php/products_id/5912]Worn Page Edges So the descriptions are already there, and I don't have to type the code every time. I just find the product and copy and paste. I've always wanted to do this, but it's been so long since I've had HTML coding I'd forgotten how to do it. Thanks for all the tips!! Sarah |
