Talking Santa's Bringing a Mac!

I'm converting from PC to Mac and have a couple of questions:

Basic question - Will I be able to use the digital artwork that I've purchased and have stored on an external hard drive on my new Mac?

Random question - Does anyone use Broderbund software for creative projects? If so, do you know if the files will transfer from PC to Mac?

Thanks!

I just converted to a Mac and am able to use all the digital files I had on the PC.

I also used Broderbund for making cards on the PC but did not buy the program for the Mac. Can't help you on this one.

You're going to love being a Mac girl!

Sorry, I can't help with the Broderbund question.

I purchased iWorks when I purchased my MacBook Pro laptop. I use it to open Microsoft Word and Excel files.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm up and running on the new Mac and have a couple of questions. The biggest is:

When I access my digital art, why am I not able to open (or even see) some of the files?

Regarding the Broderbund question . . . the files do not transfer. grrrrr

I hope Cassie or one of many Mac experts will be along to help soon.

By digital art, do you mean files you have purchased in digital kits?

If they are jpeg files you should be able to use preview to open and view jpeg files.

If you have purchased Photoshop Elements you can see the files using the Bridge software.

Ahhh, the Bridge Software. I was wondering what that was for!

Thank you for your quick response. Have a great week!

regarding your Broderbund files, what is the extension to the file?

you may want to do a google search for another program that could convert them to a format that photoshop can read... or see if on your old pc, you can export the files into a different format that is readable by photoshop.
