Unhappy Embarassing---Need Shutterfly Help

I have ordered from Shutterfly often, never had trouble, and I KNOW I did my custom Christmas card there last year. I think I'm going crazy!

Why can I not find the blank 4X8 template this year to upload my custom design? Has anyone ordered theirs yet? Am I overlooking the full-bleed 1 photo template somewhere??

Thanks!
Sarah

you need to find it thru the digital scrapbooking section--if you just log in thru our print services link it will take you right there!

Wow! Thanks. I thought I was losing my mind. Let's pretend I didn't ask that question. Can we erase the thread?

Thanks!

I'm glad you asked! It's a great question--I looked a week or so ago and couldn't find the option, so I gave up on Shutterfly for our cards.

absolutely great thread....don't delete. I find shutterfly so hard to navigate. While we're on this topic, I've downloaded katie's template. Do I size my 12x12 jpeg to those measurements (within the margins), save as and submit that? I am really confused about the trim.... -L

Lynda, Katie has actions (I think they are free) to resize pages for shutterfly, both for 12x12 and 8x8 pages. They need to be resized to 11 3/4 I think.

Definitely keep the thread. I've done the same thing!

Friends1976 do a search in these threads for actions and the link will come up!

You can find the actions through the Tips at the top of the site: Where can I download Katie's action that resizes scrapbook pages for Shutterfly books? - Digital Scrapbooking Tips DesignerDigitals

Lynda, I just upload my 12X12 layouts saved as 300 dpi jpgs to Shutterfly. If you upload, you can make 12X12 or 8X8 from the same jpg - it will automatically scale it for you. As long as you have made sure to not put any important text or item within 1/4" of the edges, you shouldn't have any problem with trim. Use their templates for the cover though as you can't just upload a 12X12 for that and have it work nicely.

I'm surprised that someone is surprised about losing one's mind. Doesn't it happen a lot to you too???? ;-)
