Default Regarding my photos....

Hello everyone,
Thank you so much for all the kind comments you have been leaving about my photos.
What I've been doing lately (my year in review album and latest pages) is using my new addiction: Lightroom 2
Normally the first thing I do is to use the 'creative- aged photo' preset (it's already installed in this version) then, depending of each picture I just adjust the exposure and the blacks to get a creamy white and not so strong blacks. Normally I reduce the blacks to 0.

Thanks for the info, Patricia. I don't have Lightroom, but I'm hearing lots of good things about it here in the forum. Ohmigosh, I need more software like I need another hole in the head! Your pictures have such a beautiful quality -- but then you do have three awfully cute subjects to work with.

patricia, thanks so much for posting here and replying to my PM - I agree they have just that dreamy quality. I love the aged photo setting as well, but now I must upgrade to version 2.

Ok, since I spent more than the price of an upgrade for Lightroom at the last sale and on Thursday (hey, wait...tomorrow is THURSDAY again!!) and since it is PATRICIA who is tempting me so severely...I just sprang for the upgrade to LR2 (at Amazon for $89!!) which will be here on FRIDAY!! YAH. I think I'm back...

Thanks you for facilitating my play, Patricia.
the other Patricia....

Mine just came yesterday and I love it already!!! My latest pages are looking just slightly different
If you don't mind my asking, whenever I move the picture to CS3 it tells me that the depth of the page is different and it might effect the quality of the picture. Plus the files are either TFF or PSD. Is that normal?
I do love the effects, I will just have to play around with it some more

sorry, I have another question. How do you add presets to LR? I purchased one, but it won't let me do anything to it, I can't open it. Talk about feeling dumb!

patriciaz, that is all you did to get the pictures to turn that way? did you do overlays of pinks/blues etc. to get the pastel-like look?

Ok so I'm a newbie to digi and you have me intrigued. Is this something I can use with PSE 7? How difficult is the program to use??? Is it similar to actions, but more involved and better results??? I might have to ask for it for Christmas!

I just ordered 2.0 this week after reading reviews that it is so much better than 1.4 which I have. I swore I wouldn't get any more upgrades, but had to have THIS one as I have read the organizer is so much better and easier to use!

Hulseyfam - You can get a 30 day trial on the Adobe site! It is not difficult IMOP. You mainly play with sliders and get the effect you want AND a great organizer. Lots of free presets around! I use Academic Superstore, but forgot to check Amazon.

I just purchased ACDSee, would I not need that anymore for organizing if I had lightroom??? I'm lost! lol

I don't have ACDSee, but LR can only organize photos. The effects you can achieve are wonderful and many presets are free. Why not download the free trial for 30 days and see for yourself?
