Default It has been so quiet around here....share

with me what you have been up to in your scapping world. I have seen lots of goodness in the gallery but the boards have been pretty quiet.

what have you been working on lately?
how full is your wishlist? any items you can't wait to add to you shopping bag?

have you been thinking about Christmas gifts yet?
do you have any plans for photos - fall or otherwise?

or
is the new fall TV schedule keeping you away from Designer Digitals?

: )

fun thread Mary!

Well, for me it's the fall routine keeping me quiet and trying to be productive with the time I do have! Tonight is the only night I'm not going to be running kelly somewhere. I seriously don't know what I'll do if they raise the driving age to 18 and I have to keep driving her everywhere until she leaves for college!

And, can't forget, Chuck is on tv right now--fun show!

How about you? What's up with you these days??

we just got back from a long weekend in myrtle beach - nothing like a nice long walk on the beach every morning!

Well its been over a week now since my wedding. We paid the final reception hall bill and now we are just waiting to pay the final amounts to our photographer & videographer....the 2 things I'm most looking forward to seeing too!
I had to do some fall cleaning because everything was piling up as the wedding got closer. The house is now 'spick & span'...lol.
Then this weekend we went to the Pumpkin Patch with family and had Thanksgiving dinner at my parents yesterday and then my DH's parents today....phew!
We just bought a new BBQ with gift cards we got for Canadian Tire (our local hardware store) and put that together this evening after Thanksgiving dinner!
But I just started a part time job (as I was working full time but wanted part time to be at home with Lana while she is still small, without loosing my dental hygiene license), so I'll have tons of time to catch up on my scrapping and hopefully by the time I get my wedding photos, my mojo will be going strong!
How's everyone else?

hello everyone!
thanks for playing : )

I have been pretty busy with my election campaign - only 22 days left! I can't wait for it to be over...

but I need to scrap - it is therapy for me. We went on a family photo shoot yesterday and tonight I have been playing with photos a bit....

I finished a few unexpected assignments this weekend so that was fun : )
and I have just started to put together some christmas gift ideas - I am afraid my budget will be cut back a bit so I hope to make more gifts this year...

Madison has been in a very good place lately, happy and sleeping - I really can't ask for much more than that!

oh and hockey started again, (Red Wings and Hayden)
thank goodness for the photo opportunities, but such a busy schedule and I agree with you on the driving age thing katie - I can't quite grasp that Hayden could be driving in 3 years! but maybe not.

Well, let's see . . .

a pending adoption
our first year of homeschooling
an office that needs to be converted to a little girl's room

That about sums up my absence.

Didn't you have a hurricane evacuation too Cassie? (just minor stuff ay?)

I'd thought about starting this thread too because it's been so quite around here. But I figured you northern hemisphere folk must get really busy over summer. Our quiet summer time and holidays all revolve around Christmas and January.

Well my creative mojo went AWOL but my shopping technique and layout ideas are still going strong!

And as for Christmas I am definately in denial ...

Good thread, Mary!
Well, I have been homeschooling Morgan (my 7 year old), making a bday calendar for my sister, a Christmas calendar for my mom, an 18 month Christmas calendar for my Grandmother (collecting the pics from all my cousins has been the worst part!), thinking through my sister's wedding album that I am going to scrap - I can't decide on a style, church stuff, starting the process of writing a book with Morgan & illustrating it w/ DD goodies (printing through shutterfly) & just the everyday chores of being mom! I just want to sit in my pjs and scrap for me! ugh! I am thankful - very thankful - to have a full life!

Good thread Mary. It's my busy season at work. I just got back today from a conference in Milwaukee and currently making arrangements for exhibiting in Vegas, Phoenix and a local Executive Committee meeting, so I have been working a lot of long hours and some weekends as well.

This is a busy time for us too!

DH is back teaching school full time, Ian is in preschool 3 days a week, and I'm working those three days. Not much time during the week and weekends seem to be filling up with lots of activities -- watching my bro do marathons, triathlons, pumpkin picking, a wedding, birthdays -- lots of great camera opportunities though!!

I have been busy with sewing costumes (and gathering them from local theaters) for my son's school play, which is this week! I, like many others here, have still been able to SHOP here though with my limited time! I hope to get some good photos at the dress rehersal tomorrow night for the play and be able to scrap some. I also want to take some of the actors/actresses just hanging out because I think those would make good layout photos also.

Let me tell you Katie how my life changed once my youngest (now 17) started driving himself to all his activities. I miss that time in the car for us to talk, but I do not miss waiting and waiting all those places for him to get done! It is a hard time driving them everywhere and although it is way more convenient for me to have him drive himself, I do suggest you enjoy your days with your daughter in the car. Kind of a 'captured' audience if you know what I mean!

Good luck Mary with your election! Can't wait to hear the results!

Great thread Mary! Have you done the mail-out of those cool cards you made for your campaign yet? It sounds like everyone's life is so full during this season!

Personally, I feel like life went into high gear all of a sudden. Selah started walking! Where's my baby girl now?! And we had three people move in with us a couple of weeks ago, soooo that takes up a lot of my time. I am trying to work on Christmas gifts (mainly the journals from Shutterfly) and beginning my Christmas cards! I of course haven't missed digital goodie SHOPPING, just not a whole lot of finishing projects being had here! I still feel a bit worn out from the CT Guest Contest! LOL!

I've been busy too, and tired! It's been spring break here, so school was out for two weeks and just went back yesterday. That's good but now I have grumpy teenage daughter (who hates school) to get out of bed in the mornings and nag about homework. Bah!

I've been enjoying scrapping some event pages and using my new templates, and looking forward to getting my teeth into working on a kit again. But I also have to start thinking about planning for Christmas and our big family trip which will be coming up before you know it!!!

Nice to hear what everyone is doing.

I've had lots of things happening at my daughters' school. I think I was there everyday last week to drive on a field trip, help with a teacher luncheon, etc. Everywhere Saturday is filled with soccer. I am the leader for two Girl Scouts troops which are in full swing now. I have a project for our church library that I'm trying to get done - processing lots of new books - and out of my house! I'm also upping my exercise and I'm trying to do some exercise 4 out of the 5 days the girls are in school.

As for scrapbooking, I'm taking a scrapbook on-line class and that's keeping me busy with an "extra" time.

I was just telling DH, I wish for just a day or two where I feel like I don't have to do anything in particular, just schedule out my day the way I want. I miss that the most about summer.

great thread...so fun to read what everyone is up to. i've been so busy with substitute teaching usually 2-4 days a week at the local elementary school (now that my baby is in kindergarten) that i haven't scrapped as much lately. And if I do, most of it I'm submitting so there isn't as much to post. When it gets rejected I'll have a bucket load to share! LOL!!

I'm back working an extra day (making 4) so that cuts out a lot of time. It's spring here and we've started a bunch of outdoor projects.
I'm interested to read that the driving age might be lifted. It has always been 18 here. I can't imagine letting younger kids drive. Even at 18 it is nerve-wracking!

we had a 4 day weekend so tomorrow i'll be back at it.....it's time to start working on another suprise for the DD store.

Oh yes. There was that hurricane, LOL. And soccer. And gymnastics. Note to self: You really do have a LOT of things going on. It's not in your imagination.

And Christmas gifts? Already!?!?! You people are crazy. lol

Nice to hear what everyone has been up to as I also got busy all of a sudden and haven't had as much time to watch the gallery and see what people have been up to.

Brother visited from Iceland
Parents visited from Canada before going back to Iceland with my brother
Unexpectedly, we bought our first home in the US and began renovations on it
Our bodies began rebelling from renovations...
We took a mini-trip to Houston to meet 2 other couples (friends from Kansas & Dallas) and all went to the Renaissance Festival together for our 5th anniversary trip
We began moving into our new home... tonight is the first night sleeping in it with only part of the furnishings, etc moved in yet

Been remembering to take photos with whatever camera I have with me at the time but haven't managed to get many of them off of the memory sticks and scrapped yet... will be time for that once move is complete as my body will be happy to sit for hours and not move... but have been keeping up with the shopping and filling my wish list for when renovations stop spending all our cash

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!! With everything happening, I almost forgot! but our US friends reminded me... I have a dinner to make sometime this week as it has become a tradition we do Canadian T-Day for them and they do US T-Day for us... they are giving us a break on actual day it will happen this year thankfully.

Trying like crazy to get the final pages for the family album done for mum for Christmas. Hoping against hope that our AU dollar starts rising again against the US dollar since it's been dropping lately. The higher our AU dollar is against yours, means the cheaper my shutterfly book will be !!!! Method in my madness there.

Plus day light saving has started here and I want to be outdoors more. Must find a way to scrap outside! te he.

How fun to read what you are all up to!!

The days do seem to fly by with normal everyday stuff: breakfasts, morningrush to get out, playschool, work, dinners, laundry, doghair everywhere, doogpoop everywhere in the garden, shopping, grass needs to be cut, dishes, bathtime, studying...scrapping?

And all this is what we call life. And I seem to forget that a lot lately.

Homeschooling my boys has kept me pretty busy, but also I am all about photography these days, so besides DD and one or two other scrapping forums, I am spending more time at Flickr and photography forums, learning all I can. This past week I spend 12 hours photographing karate classes & a karate banquet--this resulted in over 1500 RAW photos to edit, so that is absorbing a lot of my energy and time.

Scrapwise, I am working on my Week in My Life mini album as inspired by Ali on her blog, paring down my scrap stash to make room on my hard drive, and trying to become a little more focused in my purchases. As in, if it's not from DD, what are the chances I'm actually going to use it? Hmm...

My life has been a perpetual road trip since early July it seems! Picking up grandchildren for visits at our house, dropping off grandchildren back to their parents and two fun trips to Florida. In the morning DH and I are flying to New England for a week of just following our nose around exactly where we want to go! We are so excited to be leaving for what has been our "once every second year" trip. My camera card is cleaned out and formatted, I have charged the battery and we are packed! We will be in Rhode Island tomorrow!!!

I have struggled with cleaning out my closet and moving summer clothes to boxes. Hate this job! Done a little scrapping, and feeling quilty about not having time to visit the gallery as much as I love to do.

Fun thread, Mary!

I've started Christmas shopping online. That means a lot of contact emails with my family and searching for the right gift. I am also wrapping as things arrive. This is actually a late start for me. I usually begin in September.

I'm working on a Shutterfly book of my daughter's Halloween costumes through the years. I am also working on a Shutterfly book for my in-laws.

I'm setting up two playgroups for my son. I want to get that rolling since the weather will be getting cold soon, and we'll need to find indoor activities.

I am doing some volunteer work at my daughter's school for their annual auction. I'm hoping to get that knocked out in the next few weeks.

Jake won't let me do much of anything while he is awake. I have to work as fast as I can while he's napping and try to get some scrapping done after bedtime.

This was fun to read what everyone's been up to!

I, too, have just been busy. I go to optometry school full time and right now it's midterms. I try to scrap when I start getting overwhelmed but it's been hard to find time since my hubby's come down with the flu But he's back to work today so hopefully I'll be able to sneak in some scrapping before filling my head with Contact Lens info for my midterm on Monday

I really want to get started on creating some Christmas cards now that I'm addicted to digital scrapping! That's my goal after midterms!

I still consider myself a "newbie" here, so I've been checking in every day and I've seen the sporatic visits, so I could tell that everyone has very busy lives going on!! I will say, though, that the gallery is FAST and there are constantly layouts being uploaded - mucho inspiration here!!

I work full-time at our local middle school, so my visits are limited to evenings and weekends. It's great to her what keeps everyone busy

I just got back from vacation.....well, elk camp. Very fun and relaxing, and my husband was successful in his hunt, so I have been busy unpacking, processing the meat, and doing laundry. I hope to get a page done of my parents new Boston terrier puppy today.

Nothing overly exciting going on around here. Just getting the kids ready for school, run to Karate, scrap a little (maybe) pick the kids up from school, help with homework, make dinner, take them to Karate, clean up, scrap or google or shop.... We usually end the day with a movie together, which takes care of the late hours. I'll be lucky if I can catch a chat here and there, LOL.
