OMG...I need to go lie down!! I can't believe you have started Christmas shopping Angie!!! could you send a little piece of your amazing organisational skills my way...please

I've been painting doors, only seven but it feels like 107—how many coats of paint does it take to cover a wooden door for goodness sake!— and painting Sara's room and the hall and everything else that gets in my way LOL!! We have also been organising a new stair and bedroom carpet as well as lifting and disposing of the old one, need to go tomorrow to choose a new bed for her as well—and hopefully the carpet may be fitted this week then I can put all her clothes back in her wardrobes and drawers, put up a new blind, do something stylish with some accessories then pretend that we didn't leave everything till the last minute—phew!!

We were out of town on a mini vacation, then had house guests, I've been planning my dd's 1st birthday party, going to swim class (with dd), playdates, yoga (for me), Sunday is all about football, and I'm cleaning out the clutter in our house! I tend to do a second round of spring cleaning in the autumn, guess you could call it "fall cleaning"! I've started my holiday shopping, too! I've been working on my dd's first year album, plus an album of her first year for all her grandparents and great grandparents.

As I read all this, I think I might need to go lay down for a while!

We just got back from a mini vacation too. I have been working out in the yard (until it snowed) trying to cut back my gardens and such, wrapping up the final details of our humane society fundraiser, and catching up on other neglected work. Now I have to tackle post processing on the 1500 shots I took at a wedding a month ago....I told them they would by ready by the middle of October and I haven't even started....ugh!!

Just got back from Chicago.. girl's trip with my mom. We actually attended a Christian women's conference (True woman 08) which was wonderful. Between that and a visit to the spa, I have returned home refreshed and ready to tackle the mound of laundry and other chores that I found waiting for me!!

I've been going through a few of Cassie's tutorials---trying to learn new techniques. Stepping out of my comfort zone a little.

My life is busy now with school in session. My youngest son plays football, husband is a football coach (different team), I work (just now entering the busy season), plus volunteer with the booster club---not to mention church activities. Life just gets in the way a bit.

I am cracking up at your reaction, Fiona! I use to get so stressed during December that I couldn't even enjoy the holiday season. I don't enjoy shopping because I put so much pressure on myself to find the perfect gift for every person. By getting it done early, I can really enjoy the month of December now.

Well, I am gearing up for the Holiday season on Etsy, and I have a Craft Show on Nov. 30th, so I need to felt and paint and then paint and felt, then maybe some more painting!

And we went to the pumpkin patch today, so brace yourselves for layouts!

I'm with Terry... life just gets in the way sometimes! More than I'd like, actually!

I had to be the boss at work last week while the boss was in NYC! Two high school boosters meetings (and another next week!), moving MIL to an assisted living facility, Derek's 18th birthday yesterday (dinner w/my parents Sunday and just us last night!), lunch w/my best friend from high school (we go waaaaay back!), paper (gasp!) scrapping assignments... oh, and lots of soccer! LOL

Ummmmmm... yeah. I was busy!

We're working on Halloween costumes. my boys really like to "make them theirselves" so it takes a while -- they're both getting good with the sewing machine but I'm still mostly right next to them, pinning and helping.

I'm teaching a travel scrapping class right now and getting @ 8 pages a week scrapped for that!

Field trip tomorrow.

Life is busy but good. Love hearing what everyone else is doing.

Here in Israel we have a bunch of holidays these days, starts off with RoshHaShana, then Yom Kippur and now Succot - so we go back and forth to work - so to speak.
We try to take short day-trips to various places, when we feel like getting out - if not, we stay at home, relax, work in the garden or whatever.

And the best thing is: the summer-heat is behind us and now rainy season is in front - we have lovely temperatures now. I love not being all sweaty and yucky all the time. LOL!

Trying to find time to scrap in between!

So fun to hear what's going on

I haven't posted in over a month, but I still buy goodies weekly and try to comment on all the great pages.

This past year has been overwhelming to say the least... divorce, a death in the extended family, a move cross country, buying a new house, my son starting middle school, re-connecting with family and old friends, meeting new neighbors and making new friends, adopting a puppy, going back to work after being home for 11 years, and just the day to day "stuff" of life and figuring out what it means to be on my own for the first time ever. Whew!

I can't wait for the dust to settle so I can be creative once more!
