I simply cannot get one of my layouts down to posting size. I've set the dpi to 72 and I'm saving as a jpeg, but no matter what I do to the quality slider of the jpeg save dialog box, my layout stays at 2.1 mb, which of course is way too large for posting here at DD. I've never had the experience of not being able to shrink the size to something manageable. I tried cropping the image all around in case there were pieces of paper sticking out that were adding to the size, and I've tried deleting all the layers that weren't visible. But something about this file is huge and won't be tamed. Any ideas?

Hello All!

I am trying to nail down my Christmas Card idea and hope that it works. I am using one of Pattie Knox's templates (snowflake). I put a very deep navy blue textured paper as the bottom layer (Jen Wilson Blue Attitude from the New Attitude Kit). I have the Epson R2400 printer. For now, I am printing on Ultra Premium Presentation Matte Paper. When my print came out the blue was so DEEEEEP you could not see any of the texture. I'm sure there is a better way, but I am playing with the opacity to just try to lighten it up. It sure doesn't look like it does on my monitor. Also, my printer menu gives me the option to let the printer manage the colors or Photoshop. I am using CS 3and it appears that by selecting Photoshop to manage the colors it is slightly better. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this beautiful paper stand out?

Thanks,

Kim

Anyone know of Photoshop groups that are gathering in person to work on pages in the Northern Illinois region? Or is anyone interested, I'd be glad to open my home or make arrangements for a facility if anyone was interested in the same thing.

Katie & Randy - I hope I am not violating any site rules with this posting. Let me know and I'll remove it right away if I am.
