30 Minute Masterpiece Chat with Cassie - 01/07/12

Good morning, everyone!

Welcome to the 30MM!


If you've never done one of my 30 Minute Masterpiece Challenges before, it's pretty straightforward.

I give you a set of five rules and a folder of scrapping goodies. You will plan your page for about 15 minutes, and then we set the timer . . . you have 30 minutes to create and upload a page that follows those five rules. That's it!

This morning, I'm giving you a "New Beginnings" challenge to help ring in the New Year. The rules and supplies will help you create a page to celebrate the New Year or any other occasion that represents the theme.


At the end of the chat, I'll use a random number generator to pick a winner for a $10 gift certificate to the store!

We're going to make plans based on the rules until 11:15 ET.

Keep in mind . . . there is only ONE thing in the freebie kit that you must use. And you can be creative in how you use it.

I love to see people dig into their own stash of DD products to meet the other requirements.

This is where I'm hoping people use their stash. There are SO many great sparkly, glittery things in the store. The freebies are there for people who may not own some already. I just picked a few things that worked together.

I have a confession to make right off the bat . . .

When I made my page this week (I time myself!) I knew the pictures I wanted to use, and when I went to look for some frame sets I could use, I saw a template of Katie's that was perfect. And . . . it had a set of 12 in it. LOL

So, call me a cheater, but it still took me 30 minutes to adapt the template and change it up!

Remember . . . it doesn't HAVE to be about the new year. Just something that will work with "new" or "begin" on the page.

I have a layout I am working on right now (80% done) that just happens to have 12 photos on it~ ha, ha... now that would really be cheating! :-)
