When you want to add text to a digital project, you select the Type tool and make font choices in the Options bar. Position your cursor over the project document and click once to begin typing.

As it often happens, the text position needs to be tweaked. No need to switch tools to do this. Just drag your cursor outside of the line of text to temporarily change it to the Move tool. Doing this allows you to reposition the text by clicking and dragging it into place.
