Entry Deadline: July 31, 2006

As a Master you will receive:
*A full line of Memory Makers 2007 products, including a magazine subscription, special issues and books. A $250 value

*A prize package of scrapbooking supplies provided by our Master sponsors worth more than $1000

*Exclusive opportunities to create art and be published in Memory Makers magazines and books.

*Payment for published pages

*Special recognition each time your pages are published in Memory Makers magazine.

*Your name in the magazine alongside the Memory Makers staff.

*A monthly Masters-only email newsletter

HOW TO ENTER

1. Send the following:
*4 color-copied layouts (approximately full-size) of any theme that represents your best scrapbook artwork and your special abilities. Layouts may be a mix of single pages or two-page spreads (a two-page spread counts as one layout), in any of the following sizes: 12x12, 8-1/2x11, or 12x15. If the page features mechanical elements or special features no visible from a basic color copy, please include additional copies showing the special elements. Please send color copies only; original artwork cannot be returned.

*1 actual/original 12x12 singl-page layout highlighting your interpretation of the theme "Celebrate Life." Be creative and have fun. The theme does NOT have to be the title of the page. Please use actual photos on the page, no color copied photos. Original artwork will not be returned but becomes the property of Memory Makers and will be kept on file for possible future use. If page is published, it will be returned at that time.

*Digitally created pages are eligible but must be printed following the same size guidlines above and should be accompanied by a CD containing digital files of pages.

*No part of entry should be published or posted on any public domain Web site until contest winners are announced (September 12, 2006). This includes, but is not limited to, chatrooms, message boards and online galleries.

2. Don't forget: All layouts must include a photo/photos, journaling and a title. Please securely attach the following to the back of EACH layout:
a completed Idea Form (page 41 in June 2006 MM or here) with your name, city and state, phone nubmer, email address, a complete list of all supplies used on the page and a brief explanation of any special techniques featured on the page. If pages include any photos from professional studios or photos of anyone under 18, a photo/model release form must be completed and included (Model Release Form)

3. Mail your entry to Memory Makers 2007 Masters Contest, 12365 Huron St., Suite 500, Denver, CO 80234. Entries must be postmarked no later than July 31, 2006.

Entries will be judged and winners chosen based on quality of craftsmanshiop, design, originality, creativity, journaling, photos, title, techniques and how well submission meets entry requirements.

Winners will be chosen by September 5, 2006, and contacted by phone no later than September 8, 2006. Winners and 10 runners-up will be posted on the Memory Makers Web site on or before September 12, 2006.

RULES
1. All pages must be original designs. Previously honored or published pages will not be considered. Entrant guarantees that submittal is not duplicated from any other scrapbook publication or copyrighted work.

2. Memory Masters will retain all submissions and has the right to publish and use submitted pages and spreads.

3. Each page/spread in entry must include photo/photos, journaling and title. A completed Idea Form (page 41 in June 2006 MM or here) with your name, city and state, phone nubmer, email address, a complete list of all supplies used on the page and a brief explanation of any special techniques featured on the page.

5. No electronic (email) submissions of entries will be accepted. All entries submitted will be considered for publications in upcoming Memory Makers magazines and books and F+W Publications.

6. Name, city and state on entries will be withheld throughout the judging process.

7. Official employees of F+W Publications, all sponsors and/or other manufacturers and previous Masters are no eligible to enter or win. This includes but is not limited to full- or part-time, current payroll employees. Contributing and freelance artists free from contractual obligations to an not officially employed by F+W Publications, sponsors and/or manufacturers are eligible to enter.

8. Paster Masters entrants are eligible to enter. This includes pasts runners-up.

9. Entries must be post-marked no later than July 31, 2006.

10. Winners will be chosen by September 5, 2006, and contacted by phone no later than September 8, 2006. Winners and 10 runners-up will be posted on the Memory Makers Web site on or before September 12, 2006.

Terms
1. 2007 Masters term will begin September 8, 2006 and will end on September 1, 2007, pursuant to a Letter of Agreement Masters are expected to sign.

2. Masters will be required to take part in and will be paid for 12 Masters Challenges throughout their term.

3. Masters will receive $50 per published single-page layout and $75 per published two-page layout. Payment for other published projects will be determined on a per-project basis.

4. Masters will receive a one-time payment for any pages/layouts accepted for publication during their term. Memeory Makers retains the irrevocable right to publish, reproduce, modify and publically display and distribute said pages in any way and all media without limitation and additaional compensation and to sublicense such rights.

5. Masters will receive a one-time postage allowance of $100.

6. Each month, Masters will receive Master Pieces, an email newsletter announcing the topics for upcoming issues and books. Masters will be given the opportunity to submi thier pages for priority publication consideration in the magazine and books.

7. Masters are not required to use the products given to them by the sponsors.
