Being Published - Do you get paid?
Hi everyone
I was just wondering if you get paid for having your work published? I know in Australia we get paid $20-30 per page. Thanks Gemma

Hi, Gemma! Yep, most of the major mags pay...here are the amounts for one pagers:
Scrapbooks Etc: $100USD Memory Makers: $50USD Creating Keepsakes: $100USD -- someone confirm this -- I've only been in CK once and it was $75 then...but I think they're paying more now... Simple Scrapbooks/Digital Scrapbooking Mag: $75 Scrapbook Trends pays with a goodie box. I'm not sure about Scrapbooking and Beyond or any of the others. Anyone know if i missed any that pay?

CK is still $75, more for 2-pagers, but I've never had one of those published

Gemma -- I didn't list the values, but 2 page layouts are generally about $25; more than the above values. You should give it a go! I think you have an excellent chance of getting some picked up.

It's pretty cool alright. (Not so great with the exchange rate at the moment though Gemma!) You should give the overseas mags a go!

tee hee!! Gemma I agree with you on the Aussie mags especially when you don't get any contributor copies ... The thing with getting US cheques is that you have to forgo about 15$ in bank fees ... but its still much more than the Aussie mags pay after that

Hey Gemma! How's things??
I agree, even on a DT for a particular Aussie Mag you get only $5 extra per LO, then you have to pack it $3, post it $5... then return your contracts @ 50c, makes Aussie payments look like chicken feed... I agree on the paypal!
