Do you have any games that are very "active" like Cadoo? That's a really good one. It's a mixture of all kinds of games and has the kids acting things out and having a good time. My nieces & nephews LOVE it. It involves clay!
Card games would be good, too. Look 'em up on line. There are some great ones that are fast paced . . . I think "spoons" maybe? Easy and fun.
As silly as it may sound . . . play-doh is a huge hit still. Imagine the silliness of midnight play-doh. I'm sure they'd make some interesting things.
Then there's the "get 'em quiet" but also have some fun . . . "I'm going on a camping trip and I'm taking a . . . " have the first kid finish the sentence with something that starts with "A." Then have the second kid start it off and say the "a" thing then add "and a (something that starts with a 'b'). You go around the circle with each boy repeating the things that have already been said and then adding something with the next letter of the alphabet. This also may sound silly for a bunch of boys, but I taught 5th graders for 4 years, and even they still loved to play this sort of thing. Like I said . . . for some "quieter" time.
Also . . . paper football. On the dining room table. Boys can play this for a long time. Do you know what I'm talking about? The folded paper triangle "flicked" through the finger field goal at the end of the table?
OH! And the BEST thing you can do with them . . .
Give each of them a straw (preferably the 'bendy' kind). Have them squeeze one end of it between the armpit, in the fold of their elbow, under their knee . . . anywhere there is a joint that will "trap" it between flesh. Then they put the other end in their mouths and blow. As they change the tightness of their squeeze on the end in the joint, the "beautiful bodily function" song will change its tune.
A fifth grader taught me that one and I of course taught all the nieces and nephews. Needless to say, we have a good time when Aunt Cassie's around. Even the adults in the room can't help but laugh. And I mean full-belly-bounce laughs. Tears even. Especially if done around midnight.
Okay. That's all. Have fun!
