I have some teenage girls in my church who told me I had to watch it. They said, "I couldn't stop crying. Oh, it was so sad. Such a good movie." I raised an eyebrow and was quite skeptical, considering the source. It came on HBO a few weeks later and I thought, well, I'll give it a try.
Darn it to pieces, I couldn't see the (*&$# screen because my eyes were teared up the whole stinkin' movie. It had a cheesy premise, but it seemed so true to life, and I enjoyed Hilary Swank because she isn't a gorgeous, showy leading lady. She's everywoman.
I liked it very much, too, and would recommend it, though I know my DH would never, ever sit down and sit through it.
