Thank you Michelle...I'm going to certainly look into the D3000.
(my husband is going to kill me 'cause of all the headaches of my last DSLR...and now I want to dive into another....ha ha)

I do want to clarify though, the camera will auto focus if you get the right kind of lens, but you have to get an AF-S lens.
