Dick and his daughter have flown to CA to meet up with the son who lives there. The whole lot will drive to AZ to see the Mesa family incl Bekah of course.
Some sad news in this post...Deziray is one who didn't make it. :-( It's such a reminder of how precious each day of life is for all of us. Maureen

Bekah and mommy at RMH having a tea party with Grandma Sue (who took the picture).
Bekah is doing well.* Lots of energy.* Hard to believe she has been through so much.* The Lord has truly blessed us.* I try not to think about what could happen, but with the loss of Deziray, it is very much there.* (Stephanie is doing ok, but she is just trying to hold it together while they make Deziray's arrangements. I know she is so appreciative of your support & prayers during this dark time.)
We have been asked many times if we can go home now that Bekah had her transplant and is doing well.* No.* I wish.* We have to stay here for another couple of months.* There are several reasons, but the most important one is to make sure complications don't arise and GVHD (Graft v. Host Disease) doesn't take place.* (Where the new stem cells start attacking Bekahs body.) Post 3 months is the critical period.*** Also, Bekah still isn't making her own blood yet.* It will take a few more months to get the new* stem cells working to begin to make red cells and platelets.* Until those stem cells are fully functioning, she continues to need transfusions- about every other day now.
So we go to clinic every day, but we get to sleep at the RMH at night!* Yeah!* Please continue to pray for her health and healing. I place my trust and faith into the lord.*
