I think more info is needed? Which mode are you shooting in? Which type of lens is on?
I only ask because when I have my zoom lens I can have shutter speeds up to 1/4000 but I can't with my 18-55 lens.
I'm sure one of the photog experts will come along and give you a helpful answer.
