I can suggest 2 things to try. If you want a preview image instead of the folder icon, open the image you want as the folder image, and copy it (open apple, C); then right click on the folder, go to get info, and when the window opens, click on the small blue folder at the top left and the paste the image onto it (open apple,V). This will make it look like an image, but is actually a folder. My preferred method for what you're trying to accomplish is through the use of stacks in Bridge (I think CS3 has stacks) Just highlight all the items you want in a group (like the preview & contents), then through the drop down menu or open apple, G; you can make a grouping. Then highlight the image you want as the cover of the stack and right click, scroll down to stack-then go to 'promote to top of stack'. Then you will view the image you selected as the top of the stack, and can click on the arrow in the upper left corner to open the stack. Hope this makes sense, I'm trying to type it by memory and may be missing a step or two.
