I just made the switch to Nikon D90 and bought the 50mm lens at the same time. I had one on my Canon XTi (that I traded in) -and it really is a great lens. For such a crummy photographer as me, I need all the help I can get! Altho, I am improving because of Katrina's "Captured Through The Lens" course. (shameless plug for Katrina!). My next dream lens (and I think I'll take the plunge shortly) is the 18-200 with the second generation of VR. The reviews say its wonderful.
