It was soo much fun!
The event was Saturday- I am halfway thru 720 pics... and am pleasantly surprised I'm not deleting them all!
I learned a few things in regard to photographing sports events:
1. I must have my very own motorcycle... just cuz
2. At the finish line, or the top of a tough climb, change to a zoom lens to capture expressions. I didn't think of that and saw some photos on the event website that made me wish i did...
3. I used A priority, S priority and Auto settings - I need to get a better grasp of AutoFocus when not in Auto mode. I missed shots due to lame focusing issues.
And last but not least:
4. Get over the inferiority complex! My little Sony A100 took just as good shots as some of those posted on the event web gallery- (if not, ahem, a little better!). I still want a 28-300 tho...
I've attached 3 shots- they are low res web versions so not as crisp but u get the idea! Thanks for the referral to that website, Sarah- it started me a web path of lotsa info!
