Every monitor is callibrated differently. When I switched from my iMac to the Mac Pro w/Cinema display my layouts looked different. Have you printed any of the layouts? I would try that using a really reputible professional print company (WHCC offers 5 free 8x10 test prints). If the prints are WAY off from your monitor you might consider a callibration device. Your Mac has a built in utility for this purpose that might improve the issue a bit.
