The couch for me as well. I have the EHDs and printers in our bedroom on a large desk where DH's supercomputers and dual monitors are. So if i need to back up or print, i can easily take the laptop in there. Or take it on vacation, or to crops, or in the car on road trips
But most of the time it is a permanent fixture on the coffee table or my lap
