Maureen ... I don't know the answer to any of your questions, but do know of a good "how to" book. It is "Publishing a Blog with Blogger" by Elizabeth Castro ... published by Visual Quick Project. I haven't used it to find out about resizing photos, but it has helped me with other things on Blogger.
