I will try to start a new topic about iphoto if I can
(to explain my previous: highlight a folder then do file/get info.. then under spotlight comments you can type what ever you want.... when you view your folders (if you have show comments marked in view mode) you can see all the comments, or you can check them in get info .. plus they are searchable..)
