Hello...my love for photography has outgrown my little point and shoot camera and I would now like to invest in a digital SLR camera. I have heard good things about Nikon D40 & D60 and my friend just bough a Canon Rebel, but i thought i would also see about what the DD crew had to offer in the way of suggestions. My husband and I were looking at a Sony A300 and A3500 that were on sale last night.

I am inexperienced, but want to learn...so what would anyone suggest that is user friendly, takes awesome photos and won't break my budget? I appreciate all your comments and suggestions!
