This month I was drawn to a beach theme for the Turn Back Thursday Challenge. I just got back from there and I find myself in a big hurry to go back. Scrapping my memories of the beach is a great substitute for being there!
I went back in time and found these goodies to use for the challenge:
I opened up the challenge to the creative team, and Sara and Brenda came up with some beautiful pages to share with us. I absolutely adore this page that Sara put together featuring a picture of her mom and grandmother at the beach in 1938 – what a treasure! She used so many wonderful beach goodies and I love that white wood background.
In addition to the challenge goodies, Sara used: Collageables No. 01, Atlantic Kit, Vintage Envelopes No. 01, Tidewater Scrapbooking Kit, Fresh Vintage: Clare Solids Paper Pack, Scratchy Masks Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Vintage Photo Frames No. 04 Curled and Flat, and Portholes Photo Frames
Brenda’s page about her son and his wife is so dreamy and full of feeling. The blending is absolutely stunning and I love how she used the photo background.
Along with the challenge goodies, Brenda used: My Family Genealogy Definitions, Brushes and Stamps No. 03, Fading Words Brushes and Stamps No. 05, and Portholes Photo Frames
I recently scrapped the March 2014 beach pictures of my son and his beach art, but when I started searching through my older beach pics and found this one from 2008, I wanted a do-over.
In addition to the challenge goodies I used: Skimento Paper Pack, Photo Clusters No.46, Curated Studio Mix No.1, Readymade Borders Traveler No.1, Totally Trashed the Woodwork, and Red and Krafty Hearts No.1 – Katie Pertiet
Please, please, please show me your beach memories – I never get tired of pages about the ocean. Katie has put together a fantastic FREEBIE to get you started. Please share your pages in the Scrapbook Challenges gallery, and if it qualifies, remember to add your layout to the June Challenge Participation Sign-In to earn a valuable coupon code for the DD store.
