I’m back again with the Story Scrapbook Challenge. This time I thought I might try something a bit different. Of course anyone can scrap any story they wish. The important thing is getting those stories down.
But for those that want a subject, for those who are paralysed at the thought of a blank screen but not knowing which way to jump other than a few lines of journalling, I thought I might issue a prompt for you. So run with this if you’d like, just as the creative team have done.
The prompt will be to scrap a story about someone who has made a marked impact on your life – that really gives you help with the who, what, where, when and why behind the story. It might be a story about a family member, a teacher, a world leader, the man who sells newspapers up at the corner store. It would be a great story to know how someone has impacted you (or your family) and why.
The CT jumped at the chance to tell their story about someone who has impacted on their life. I can’t wait to read who you write about.
Sam, oh my gosh, where to start. She tells the story about the love of her life and how their relationship has allowed her to soar and the amazing bond they have. It gave me goosebumps reading it.
Supplies used: Leyton Journalers, Blue Bird Little Enamel Charms, Clean Stitched Circles: White No. 01, Sentiment Spots Brushes and Stamps No. 9 (Katie Pertiet).
Doris has blown me away telling her story about her teacher who believed in her and gave her the courage to question another teacher. Then onto her parents and her husband. To have someone believe in you is such a gift and allows you to truly grow.
Supplies used: Inked Whimsey No. 01, Bold and Scripted No. 07, Blendable Maps No. 03, Blendable Maps No. 02, Painted Photo Masks Brushes and Stamps No. 04 (Katie Pertiet). Paia Kit (Lynn Grieveson).
And Myra tells the story about the author of a book that she read that changed her life. To have someone impact you so strongly is to change the way you think about yourself and in turn perhaps change the future. Love that story.
Supplies used: Toothy No 01, Cathy Zielske’s Layered Template No 115 (Cathy Zielske). Finley Solids Paper Pack, Arctic Whites Paper Pack (Katie Pertiet).
