Template Mashup: Clean vs. Grunge

We are having a Mashup Wednesday! I chose 2 very different templates for this challenge. Ali’s Simple Series is just that. Clean lines and simple designs. And Kayleigh’s Layer Works are always chocked full of goodies and tend to be more grungy and shabby (and I do not use grungy in a bad way…I love grunge!!)

So first of all, here are the templates for this week:

+ae +sddAnd here are our interpretations. First up, Terri (tdavenport) did a great mashup with these adorable farm photos. I love the colorful stripes element.

+terriIn addition to the 2 templates, Terri used Star Glows Brushes and Stamps No. 02, Catching Rainbows Scrapbooking Collection and Merry and Bright Solids Paper Pack

Esther (Esther_a) also was inspired by the stripes on Layer Works No. 366, but to her they looked like cards in a deck. It is always fun to see how different people mix up the templates and although similarly inspired, still end up in very different places.

+estherEsther’s supplies besides the 2 templates include Jaspia Solids Paper Pack and Marlow Paper Pack.

Finally, here is my page. I usually love all the layers in a Layer Works template but tried to keep it a bit more simple this time around. Showchoir photos tend to be a bit busy. 🙂

I look forward to seeing what combinations you make with these two very different templates! Post your pages in the Scrapbook Challenge Gallery  and don’t forget when you use ALL DD product on your challenge page you should post a link of your page in the April Challenge Participation thread so that it will count towards your savings in the rewards program.  Everyone’s a winner!
